  • Early assistance is sought for construction of a new 12-unit apartment complex at 8928 S.E. Woodstock Blvd. The applicant is Ronnie Wilson of Wolson Co. Inc., and the owner is Wilson Company Contractors LLC.
  • Early assistance is requested for a street vacation of portions of Northeast 52nd Avenue and Hoyt Street as part of Providence Health’s Conditional Use Master Plan. The applicant is Keren Weylendt of owner Providence Health & Services.
  • Early assistance is sought for a remodel and addition to a Les Schwab Tire Center at 5510 N. Lombard St. Proposed improvements include demolishing the front canopy, shifting existing exterior service bays to the interior, re-cladding and repainting the building, remodeling and updating interior finishes, and rearranging the driveway and parking layout to improve pedestrian and vehicle circulation.   • Early assistance is sought for the addition of a 1,300-square-foot retail store in an existing Providence Park plaza area, at the corner of Southwest 20th Avenue and Morrison Street. Three existing ticket windows would be reconstructed to form a single 160-square-foot location. The applicant is John Weil of John Weil Architecture, and the owner is the city of Portland.
  • Early assistance is requested for an addition to an existing group living residence at 7710 N. Denver Ave. The applicants are determining if they want to ask for 18 units or if they want to stay at 15 or fewer units. The applicant is Nicholas Mira of Propel Studio Architecture, and the owner is Beagle Burke & Assoc. of Washington.
  • A pre-application conference is sought for the remodel of an existing restaurant, with the inclusion of a seven-barrel brewery for on-site consumption, at Glendoveer Golf Course, 14015 N.E. Glisan St. The applicant is Daniel Gates of MCA Architects PC, and the owner is Metro (Leased Benalray Inc. Corp. dba Ringside East).
  • A pre-application conference is pending for development of five parcels around 133 S.E. Ninth Ave. with industrial, office and retail uses, including interior alleys and a large plaza at the center.   • A pre-application conference is sought for the 4th and Montgomery project at Portland State University, at 401 S.W. Harrison St. The three-quarter-block, seven- to nine-story building would house PSU, OHSU, Portland Community College and the city of Portland. The applicant is Sam Stadler of SRG Partnership, and the owner is the city of Portland.
  • A pre-application conference is pending to discuss construction of a new four-story, 6,755-square-foot mixed-use building at 2275 N.W. Glisan St. The building would have five dwelling units over ground-floor retail space, and replace a structure that was destroyed in an explosion last year. The applicant is Dan Koch of Allied Works Architecture, and the owner is Robert Sacks.
  • A pre-application conference is pending for a proposed 167-unit residential building, with retail space and below-grade parking, at 25 N. Fargo St. The applicant is Alex Yale of YBA Architects PC, and the owner is Solterra Canopy LLC. A 50-unit project proposed by SolTerra was approved by the Portland Design Commission in 2015; the developer has since split into two firms and laid off design professionals.
