  • Early assistance is pending for demolition of an existing Burger King restaurant at 12044 S.E. Division St. and development of two new drive-thru pads. The project would include new and reconfigured parking, landscaping improvements, and a property line adjustment. The applicant is Mike Towle of DOWL LLC, and the owner is ROIC Oregon LLC of San Diego.
  • Early assistance is sought for the proposed remodel of a convenience store at 515 N.E. 102nd Ave. Proposed changes include removal of wainscoting and repair of exterior walls, addition of windows, new wainscot and stucco exterior walls. The applicant is Dave Kimmel of PDG Planning Group, and the owner is Amaan Petro Inc.
  • Early assistance is pending for the conversion of an existing commercial tenant space at 6144 S.E. Foster Road to a 130-bed homeless shelter, which will be operated by Transition Projects.   • Early assistance is pending for a three-lot partition with an environmental tract at 160 N.W. Miller Road. The site houses a plant nursery and a home, both of which are to remain. The applicant is Kevin Apperson of David Evans and Associates, and the owner is George Teufel Holly Farms Inc.
  • A pre-application conference is pending for construction of a new mixed-use building with approximately 150 homes and ground-floor retail space and amenities at 815 W. Burnside St. Currently, the site has a Firestone automotive car facility. The applicant is Isaac Johnson of Ankrom Moisan Architects, and the owner is BFS Retail of Nashville, Tennessee.
  • A Type II environmental review is pending for the Forest Park Entrance and Nature Center project at 4315 N.W. St. Helens Road. The project will include construction of a nature center with restrooms, a new access drive and parking with ADA and bus spaces, trailhead and accessible pathways connecting to Forest Park, and street frontage improvements. The applicant is Britta Herwig of Portland Parks and Recreation, and the owner is the city of Portland.
  • A Type II historic resource review is pending for a project to replace a failing skylight on the Haseltine Building at 133 S.W. Second Ave. The applicant is Steven Ehlbeck of SERA Architects, and the owner is PT Pope Properties LLC.
  • A Type II historic resource review is pending for a proposed new duplex on a vacant lot and contributing parcel on the 1100 block of Northeast Hancock Street in the Irvington Historic District. The applicant is Aaron Buster of owner Portland Development Group.
