Portland buildings to blink red in honor of late architect

On Sunday night, the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry and the Oregon Convention Center will be lit red to honor the late Bob Frasca.

The spires and crescent of the Convention Center and the pyramid atop OMSI will be lit 鈥淔errari red鈥� in an alternating display, according to a news release.

Frasca, founding partner of ZGF Architects LLP, died Jan. 3 at age 84. He designed Waterfront Park, OMSI, the Oregon Convention Center, Portland International Airport, KOIN Tower and other major buildings.

The display will occur Sunday night from 6 p.m. to 12 a.m., following a public memorial at Reed College. The lights will be most visible from the west side of the Willamette River.
