Building permits issued for Feb. 5-11

• A $5,175,000 addition permit was issued for improvements to a building at 2638 N.W. Wilson St. Langley Investment Properties’ Redfox Commons creative office project includes an addition and change of occupancy from storage to business, connection of two buildings via a breezeway, replacement of mezzanines with new second floors, and seismic upgrades. The applicant is Mike Coyle of Faster Permits, the contractor is R&H Construction, and the owner is NW Wilson 26&27 LLC.

• A $3,711,700 alteration permit was issued for partial demolition of Portland State University’s Neuberger Hall at 724 S.W. Harrison St. Scope of work is to include removal of partition walls, extensive demolition of MEP and telecom systems, removal of portions of structural slab, and removal of portions of the façade and several trees. The applicant is Mike Coyle of Faster Permits, the contractor is Fortis Construction, and the owner is the Oregon State Board of Higher Education.

• A $12,487,524 alteration permit was issued for a tenant improvement for a 1-million-square-foot Amazon fulfillment center at 15000 N. Lombard St. The applicant is Suzannah Stanley of Mackenzie, the contractor is Skanska USA Building, and the owner is the Port of Portland.

• A $600,000 alteration permit is under inspection for a tenant improvement to a retail building at 12300 N. Parker Ave. The applicant is Dan Williams of Faster Permits, the contractor is Horizon Retail Construction Inc. of Sturtevant, Wisconsin, and the owner is Jantzen Dynamic Corp. of Columbia, South Carolina.

• A $2,000,000 new construction permit was issued for a new four-story, 29-unit apartment building with a basement at 8130 S.E. Sixth Ave. The applicant is Mildred White of BAMA Architecture and Design, the contractor is Urban Evolution Development Inc., and the owners are Joseph and Hallie Bradford.

• A $4,500,000 new construction permit was issued for a four-story, 34-unit apartment building with two first-floor commercial spaces at 2020 S.E. 11th Ave. The applicant is Mike Coyle of Faster Permits and the contractor is Colas Construction. The owners are Metro 5149 NE Davis Street LLC and 2014 SE 11th Avenue LLC; both are managed by Steve Day.

• A $25,000,000 new construction permit was issued for a new 65,000-square-foot classroom and office building with a basement and two levels above grade at the University of Portland, 5000 N. Willamette Blvd. The applicant is Hans Ettlin of Soderstrom Architects, the contractor is Fortis Construction, and the owner is the University of Portland.

• A $654,052 new construction permit was issued on deferred submittal for joist and girder shop drawings and calculations for a building at 10101 N.E. Alderwood Road. The applicant is Chris Gregg of contractor Perlo Construction, and the owner is the Port of Portland.

• A $900,000 addition permit is under review for improvements to a warehouse building at 7909 N. Upland Drive, including addition of new office and shop space, and demolition of a second-floor structure and change of occupancy from business to storage for a new parts warehouse. The applicant is Colony Weyrauch of CIDA Inc, and the owner is Papé Properties Inc.

• A $797,543 addition permit is under review for a tenant improvement for an existing tenant at 337 N.E. 10th Ave. The applicant is Craig Collins of Longview, Washington-based Collins Architectural Group P.S., the primary contractor is out to bid, and the owner is United States Bakery.

• A $4,914,030 addition permit is under review for improvements to a warehouse building at 100 N.E. Farragut St. The project is to include a change of occupancy, construction of a shared entry, circulation system and core, interior demising walls, and amenities. The applicant is Brannon Lobdell of Brannon Ritner Lobdell Architecture, the contractor is Reworks Inc., and the owner is Joan Johnson of Ridgefield, Washington.

• A $15,828,918 addition permit is under review for improvements to Portland International Airport, part of the PDXNext suite of projects. The scope of work includes expansion of E south pedestrian tunnel, expansion of an employee parking lot, relocation of site utilities, slab for fuel tank storage, and tree removal. The applicant is Mike Coyle of Faster Permits, the contractor is JE Dunn Construction, and the owner is the Port of Portland.

• An $11,184,419 alteration permit is under review for the upgrade and remodel of the six-story Henry Building at 309 S.W. Fourth Ave. The project would include adding living areas in an existing light well. The applicant is Bobby Daniels of the Portland Housing Bureau and the owner is Central City Concern.

• A $1,250,000 new construction permit is under review for a three-story, 18-unit apartment building at 5120 N. Lombard St. The applicant is Gene Bolante of Studio 3 Architecture, the contractor is WDC Construction and the owner is Mark R Madden Revocable Living Trust.

• A $1,029,158 new construction permit is under review for a three-story, 12-unit apartment building at 432 N.E. Simpson St. The applicant is Nathan Arnold of Faster Permits, and the contractor and owner is Structure Redevelopment LLC.

• A $1,074,500 alteration permit was issued for a tenant improvement for Wells Fargo at the Montgomery Park building at 2701 N.W. Vaughn St. The applicant is Tamra Lindstrom of Ankrom Moisan Architects, the contractor is P&C Construction, and the owner is Montgomery Park I LLC. A $214,900 mechanical alteration permit was issued for the project; the contractor is Streimer Sheet Metal Works Inc.

• A $700,000 alteration permit was issued for a 14th-floor apheresis clinic tenant improvement at Oregon Health & Science University’s Sam Jackson Hall, 3251 S.W. Sam Jackson Park Road. The applicant is Michelle Donohue of Ankrom Moisan Architects, the contractor is Fortis Construction, and the owner is the state of Oregon.

• A $1,450,000 alteration permit was issued for a tenant improvement to serve The Children’s Garden at Field Office, 2070 N.W. Front Ave. The applicant is Tim Grinstead of GBD Architects, the contractor is Lease Crutcher Lewis, and the owner is Park Office LLC.

• A $500,000 addition permit is under review for post-tensioning on levels 9 through 18 of the Multnomah County Central Courthouse project at 1200 S.W. First Ave. The applicant is Jeff Gardner of contractor Hoffman Construction, and the owner is Multnomah County.

• A $918,861 permit is under review for grading at a 55-lot single-family subdivision at 7636 S.E. Barbara Welch Road. The applicant is Dan Loss of Harper Houf Peterson Righellis, and the owner is Hawthorne Meadows LLC.
