  • Design advice is pending for a project to build a three-story structure linking the two existing Portland Art Museum buildings at 1219 S.W. Park Ave. Additional work will be located at the south end of the complex on Southwest Jefferson Street. Interior modifications include mechanical, electrical, plumbing and life safety systems. The applicant is Tim Eddy of Hennebery Eddy Architects, and the owner is the Portland Art Museum.
  • Design advice is sought for a project to replace Lincoln High School at 1600 S.W. Salmon St. The new school building is proposed to be eight stories and 138 feet tall, with 281,000 square feet of educational and support space. The applicant is Becca Cavell of Bora Architects, and the owner is Portland Public Schools.
  • Design advice is requested for a new eight-story building at 1130 S.E. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. The building would have 140,000 square feet of commercial office space, ground-floor retail space and two levels of below-grade parking. The applicant is Nathan Hamilton of Allied Works Architecture. The owner is EMCF LLC; William Floberg is its sole listed member.
  • Early assistance is sought for a Union Pacific Railroad track realignment along the existing North Portland junction at 10540 N. Portland Road. The project is to include construction of a 570-foot retaining wall and placement of fill. The applicants are Brian Antonioli and Jennifer Jones of CDM Smith, and the owner is the city of Portland.
  • Early assistance is sought for a new four-story apartment building with 23 units and 14 surface parking spots at 3204 S.W. 12th Ave. The applicant is Sean O’Neill of Tucson, Arizona-based Scotia Western States Housing LLC, and the owners are Thomas and Heather Dorris.
  • A pre-application conference is pending to discuss addition of event space to an existing catering kitchen on the second floor of SolTerra’s headquarters building at 959 S.E. Division St. The additional retail space would accommodate activities such as receptions, weddings and sit-down dinners. The applicant is Steve Fosler of Fosler Portland Architecture, and the owner is Solterra Division Office LLC of Seattle.
  • A Type II design review is sought for a tenant improvement at 1001 S.E. Sandy Blvd. that would include an occupancy change from S-2 (wine storage) to B (architecture offices). New window and egress doors will be added to the new tenant’s space. The applicant is Erik Matthews of EM Architecture LLC, and the owner is H Merlo Properties LLC.
  • A Type II historic resource review is pending for an addition to an office building at 1313 N.W. Glisan St. The addition above the fifth floor would include extending both stair towers with raised outdoor pathways, a green roof and a small outdoor seating area. The applicant is Kevin Grant of C2K Architecture. The owner is The Pearl Building LLC of Palo Alto, California; it’s registered to Roxy Rapp of Rapp Development.
  • A Type II nonconforming situations review is pending for the proposed addition of a second floor to a single-story retail building at 3587 N.E. Prescott St. The applicant is Jason Leonard of owner JGL Property LLC.
