Building permits issued for April 16-22

• A $500,000 alteration permit was issued for improvements to Fernhill Park at 6100 N.E. 37th Ave. The scope of work includes a remodel of an existing restroom, stormwater management, water service, splash pad, ADA pathways, stairs and handrails. The applicant is Travis Ruybal of Portland Parks and Recreation, the contractor is T Edge Construction Inc., and the owner is the city of Portland.

• A $1,257,276 alteration permit was issued for a tenant improvement for a new Target store at 3031 S.E. Powell Blvd. The scope of work includes new finishes, lighting, restrooms, racking, partitions, and walk-in coolers. The applicant is Liz Aiello of Seattle-based MG2 Corporation, the contractor is Skanska, and the owner is MAJ Place HD LLC of Vancouver, Washington.

• A pair of new construction permits totaling $732,500 in value are under inspection for two new three-story, six-unit apartment buildings, at 7050 and 7054 N. Montana Ave. The applicant is Brian Cavanaugh of Architecture Building Culture, and the owner and contractor is Garner Moody of Lloyd Development LLC.

• A $688,044 new construction permit is under review for a three-story, nine-unit multifamily residence with a rooftop deck at 6826 N. Greenwich Ave. The applicant is Scott Furrow of Icon Architecture/Planning LLC, the contractor is Marnella Homes LLC, and the owner is Greenwich Condos LLC.

Facility permits issued for April 16-22

• An $870,000 alteration permit was issued for improvements to the Biomedical Information Communication Center building at Oregon Health & Science University at 3280 S.W. Sam Jackson Park Road. The applicant is Lori Kellow of Ankrom Moisan Architects, the contractor is Hoffman Construction, and the owner is OHSU.

• A $498,989 alteration permit was issued for a tenant improvement for eBay on the third floor of the Fifth Avenue Building, at 1400 S.W. Fifth Ave. The applicant is JB Skopil of contractor TEAM Construction, and the owner is Mark Group Partnership No 6.

• An $80,467,506 new construction permit is under inspection for the Hyatt Regency Portland at the Oregon Convention Center hotel at 375 N.E. Holladay St. The applicant is Marvin Doster of Mortenson Construction, the contractor is MA Mortenson Company, and the owner is Star Terra LLC.

Facility permit intakes for April 16-22

• A $1,859,457 alteration permit is under review for improvements to the Multnomah Pavilion building at Oregon Health & Science University at 3181 S.W. Sam Jackson Park Road. Scope of work is to include tenant improvements to the basement and first-floor northwest wing, creation of a basement mechanical room, first-floor offices, visiting rooms, group work rooms, storage and restrooms. The applicant is Heidi Byrne of OHSU, and the contractor is Fortis Construction. A $440,760 mechanical alteration permit for the project is also under review; the contractor is out to bid.

• Nicholas Sukkau of Portland Public Schools has applied for alteration permits for three of the district’s campuses. The three permits are under review, and include: 1, a $12,000,000 permit for a tenant improvement to Harriet Tubman Middle School at 2231 N. Flint Ave, with contractor MA Mortenson Company (a $4,250,000 mechanical alteration permit is also under review, with contractor Alliant Systems LLC); 2, an $8,683,411 permit for a tenant improvement to Rigler Elementary School at 5401 N.E. Prescott St. (a $292,028 mechanical alteration permit is also under review) – contractors for both permits are out to bid; and 3, an $8,788,597 permit for a tenant improvement to King Elementary School at 4906 N.E. Sixth Ave. (a $503,544 mechanical alteration permit is also under review) – contractors for both permits are out to bid.

• A $495,000 mechanical alteration permit is under review for a tenant improvement for Industrious on the ninth through 11th floors of the Sixth at Yam building at 819 S.W. Sixth Ave. The applicant is Brad Manchester of contractor American Heating Inc., and the owner is Sixth at Yam Owner LLC of Newport Beach, California.

• A $3,800,000 new construction permit filed on deferred submittal is under review for the exterior cold-formed framing system at the Hyatt Regency Portland at the Oregon Convention Center hotel project at 375 N.E. Holladay St. The applicant is Mark Schlagel of MA Mortenson Company, the contractor is Mortenson Development Inc., and the owner is MDI Second Avenue Portland Hotel Owner LLC of Minneapolis, Minnesota.
