A new fire station on the rise in Oregon City is one of three projects Emerick Construction is building for the Clackamas Fire District. The Hennebery Eddy Architects-designed Station 16 is replacing an outdated building on the same site, which was demolished at the start of the project last September.

The new 12,000-square-foot building is wood- and steel-framed on a slab-on-grade foundation. It will contain eight single-occupancy bunk rooms, each with its own bathroom; a gym and a kitchen; an officer area and a turnout room; shop space; and quarters for the battalion chief. The approximately $5 million project is slated for turnover this fall.

Emerick is building another station from the same design, Station 19, in Damascus, and is nearing completion of Clackamas Fire District #1’s Fleet and Logistics building in Clackamas.
