• Design advice is sought for a new hotel at 1202 N.W. Irving St., a half-block site that holds a warehouse building and a small surface parking lot. The applicant is Matthew Brown of Irving Hotel Investors LLC, which is registered through a series of other limited liability companies to H G W LLC, of which developer Homer Williams is listed as president and secretary. The owner is Irving Street Investors LLC, which is registered to the Vancouver, Washington address of Hi-School Pharmacy; the sole listed member is Progress Ridge TS LLC, which is registered to Barry Cain of Gramor Development.

• Early assistance is sought for a proposal to store cargo containers waiting to be rented as portable storage units on a site on Northwest St. Helens Road in the Linnton neighborhood. Five employees will be housed in a modular office on the property, which will include a small, covered exterior work area. The tenant is Mobile Mini Inc. The applicant is Joe Carroll of Los Gatos, California-based Resource One, and the owner is A C F Industries Inc. of St. Charles, Missouri.

• Early assistance is pending for a proposal to construct a new building for Daimler Trucks Corp 3 on Daimler’s Swan Island campus, at 4747 N. Channel Ave. The new building would include six pull-through service bays, parts storage, and a two-story office. The applicant is Chris Walker of CIDA Inc., and the owner is the Port of Portland (Leased Daimler Trucks NA LLC).

• Early assistance is pending for the update of an existing convenience store at 2911 N.W. Nicolai St. Improvements are to include an updated window front and doors, a new parking lot, curbs and landscaping. The applicants are Erick Peterson and Karen Wallace of PM Design Group, and the owners are Robert and Judith Magid.

• A pre-application conference is sought for construction of a 23-story mixed-use building with hotel and residential uses, at 350 N.W. 12th Ave. A surface parking lot currently occupies the quarter-block site, which was purchased by SolTerra in 2016 for $5.75 million. The applicant is Ray Harrigill of Madison, Mississippi-based The Sunray Companies LLC, and the owner is Seattle-based Parq on 12th LLC, which is registered to SolTerra co-founder James Wong. The proposed project has grown in scope since last month, when Harrigill applied for early assistance to construct an 11-story Hyatt Place hotel on the site.

• A pre-application conference is pending for a new 40-unit multifamily building on three tax lots at 3204 S.W. 12th Ave. The building would have four stories of wood-framed apartments over a level of parking. The applicant is Gabe Headrick of Steelhead Architecture LLC, and the owners are Paul and Ann Sehdev, Thomas and Heather Dorris, and Scotia Market ST & Gains LLC of Tucson, Arizona.

• A Type II design review is pending for replacement of stucco on the north side of a 110-year-old apartment building at 1425 S.W. Clay St. with Hardie siding, as well as installation of building wrap and flashings at doors and windows. The applicant is Barri Patscheck of owner CSC Goose Nest Realty LLC.

• A Type II design review is sought for a new four-story mixed-use building with three levels of office space over ground-floor retail space at 121 N. Beech St. The applicant is Brannon Soens of Fieldwork Designs, and the owner is Beech Street Land Partners LLC, which was organized by Adrian Boly. The project has decreased in scale by one story since April, when the applicant applied for early assistance for a five-story building.
