  • Design advice is sought for a new 23-story mixed-use building at 350 N.W. 12th Ave. A Hyatt Place hotel would occupy 11 stories, and an apartment community of approximately 120 total units would occupy 12 stories. The applicant is Li Alligood of Otak Inc., and the owner is Seattle-based Parq on 12th LLC.
  • Early assistance is pending for the replacement of existing decks and balconies on the exterior of an apartment complex at 2135 S.E. Nehalem St. The applicant is Kelli Grover of Firwood Design Group LLC, and the owners are Darlene and Richard Peters of Brush Prairie, Washington.
  • Early assistance is sought for updates to an existing Portland State University maintenance facility at 1875 S.W. Park Ave. The applicant is Anthony Bohan of Portland State University.
  • Early assistance is sought for a renovation to the main lobby of an office building at 527 S.W. 11th Ave. The work may include replacement or renovation of storefront components and replacement of the roof and an existing skylight. The applicant is Victor Winkler of owner Carlyle Partners LLC.
  • A pre-application conference is sought for the designation of the Alberta Abbey building at 126 N.E. Alberta St. as a Type III historic landmark. The applicant is Ian Flood of MWA Architects, and the owner is Alberta Abbey LLC of Newport Beach, California.
  • A pre-application conference is pending for a proposal to reposition an existing single-tenant XPO Logistics office building at 2151 N.W. Savier St. into a multi-tenant building. Improvements would include plaza redevelopment options, interior demolition and potential exterior skin modifications. The property is a 30-year-old, 129,148-square-foot building in the Con-Way Master Plan area. The applicant is Michelle Schulz of GBD Architects, and the owner is XPO Properties Inc.
  • A Type II adjustment procedure is sought for adjustments to the front setback of a nine-unit townhouse development at 6040 N.E. 42nd Ave. The applicant is Guy Bryant of owner GPD Development LLC.
  • A Type III design review with modifications is sought for a 35-story full-block mixed-use development with office, hotel and residential uses, at 936 S.W. Washington St. The building would be 460 feet tall, and have four levels of below-grade parking, which would be accessed from Southwest Washington Street. The applicants are Phil Beyl and Kyle Andersen of GBD Architects, and the owner is Block 216 LLC.
  • A Type 1x environmental review is pending for construction of a new pedestrian trail bridge that will span Tryon Creek in the Foley-Balmer Natural Area, and realign the connecting trail. The applicant is Jill Hutchinson of Portland Parks & Recreation, and the owner is Metro. Hutchinson is also the applicant for a pending Type 1x environmental review for construction of a new pedestrian trail bridge that will span Owl Creek, a tributary of Tryon Creek in Marshall Park. The owner is the city of Portland.
