Central City Concern (CCC) has hired Mercedes Elizalde as public policy director. She is responsible for policy analysis, advocacy, public education and coalition鈥恇uilding efforts to find support and solutions for CCC clients and programs. She most recently served as policy and engagement strategist for Seattle City Council member Debora Juarez. Prior to that, Elizalde was the volunteer and advocacy programs coordinator for the Low Income Housing Institute.
