Building permits issued for Aug. 27-Sept. 2

  • A $1,900,000 addition permit was issued on deferred submittal for precast concrete for seating sections as part of the Providence Park stadium renovation project. The applicant is Dan Serra of Knife River, the contractor is Turner Construction Company, and the owner is the city of Portland.
  • A $589,404 addition permit is under inspection for a tenant improvement for a new tenant at 4825 N.E. 185th Drive. The applicant is Mike Coyle of Faster Permits, the contractor is 2KG Contractors Inc., and the owner is J A W Holding Company LLC.
  • A $725,000 addition permit was issued for the alteration of an existing TV tower at 225 N.W. Skyline Blvd. to replace the antenna and bring the tower up to code. The applicant is Gray Haertig of Gray Frierson Haertig & Associates, the contractor is Velocitel Inc. of Northbrook, Illinois, and the owner is Fisher Broadcasting-Portland TV LLC.
  • A total of eight permits with a combined value of $1,250,000 were issued for the removal and replacement of siding on multiple buildings at a condominium complex at 3515 S.W. Barbur Blvd. The applicant is John Gattucio of Lifetime Exteriors, the contractor is Pacific NW Construction Solutions LLC, and the owner is the Association of Unit Owners of Abitare Condo.
  • A total of nine permits with a combined value of $1,125,000 were issued for the replacement of cladding and trim, decking, parapet walls and seismic upgrades to the Springtree Apartments at 650 S.E. 162nd Ave. The applicant is Jim Cleghorn of IBI, the owner is Springtree LTD Partnership, and the contractor is out to bid.
  • A total of three permits with a combined value of $885,695 were issued on deferred submittal for improvements to Portland State University’s Neuberger Hall at 724 S.W. Harrison St. Permitted work includes installation of aluminum storefront, skylights and fireproofing. The applicant is Austin Armstrong of contractor Fortis Construction.
  • A $552,322 alteration permit was issued for interior improvements to an existing storage and office area at 14161 N.E. Airport Way. The applicant is Breeze Griffin of Anderson Dabrowski Architects LLC, the contractor is Bremik Construction, and the owner is Icon Owner Pool 1 West LLC.
  • A $9,000,000 new construction permit is under inspection for a new four-story, 118-unit mixed-use apartment building at 2821 N.E. Everett St. The applicant is David Mullens of UDG Couch LLC, the owner is Dennis Sackhoff, and the primary contractor is out to bid.
  • A $1,400,000 new construction permit was issued for a new three-story, 12-unit apartment building at 1736 N.E. 45th Ave. The applicant is Shem Harding of DECA Architecture Inc., the contractor is Constructive Inc., and the owner is The Hollywood Commons LLC.
  • A $1,100,650 new construction permit was issued for the construction of a new switchgear building at an industrial property at 5850 N.E. 92nd Drive. The applicant is Mike Coyle of Faster Permits, the contractor is Christenson Electric Inc., and the owner is Owens-Brockway Glass Containers Inc.

Building permit intakes for Aug. 27-Sept. 2

  • A $791,000 alteration permit is under review for a tenant improvement and change of occupancy for a new bank at 5262 N. Lombard St. The applicant is Jared Steagall of contractor P&C Construction, and the owner is L Khan LLC.
  • A $1,100,000 alteration permit is under review for the repair of terra cotta cladding on the west and south sides of the Yeon Building at 522 S.W. Fifth Ave. The cladding will be replaced with glass fiber-reinforced concrete. The applicant is Wade Younie of DCI Engineers, the contractor is Pioneer Masonry Restoration Co. of Oregon & Pioneer Waterproofing Co. Inc., and the owner is GC Yeon LLC of San Francisco.
  • A $1,300,000 new construction permit submitted on deferred submittal for paneling, cladding and flashing is under review for the Blackburn Building under construction at 12121 E. Burnside St. The applicant is Brady Stroh of Skyline Sheet Metal, the contractor is Walsh Construction Co., and the owner is CCC Eastside QALICB.

Facility permits issued for Aug. 27-Sept. 2

  • A $558,000 alteration permit was issued for a speculative tenant build-out on the second floor of the 1010 Flanders building at 1010 N.W. Flanders St. The applicant is Sarah Winegar of Mackenzie, the contractor is Perlo Construction, and the owner is Flanders Venture LLC.
  • A $1,934,512 alteration permit was issued for a tenant improvement for a cancer research laboratory at 4805 N.E. Glisan St. The applicant is Joe Webb of owner Providence Health Services-Oregon, and the contractor is Fortis Construction. A $542,000 mechanical alteration permit was also issued for the project; the contractor is Heinz Mechanical Industries Inc.
  • A $1,300,000 alteration permit was issued for a first- and second-floor tenant improvement for Vetsource at 9500 N.E. Cascades Parkway. The applicant is Amalia Mohr of LRS Architects, the contractor is R&H Construction, and the owner is Port of Portland (Leased Cascade Station III LLC).
