Building permits issued for Sept. 3-9

• A $14,288,722 addition permit was issued for foundations, temporary shoring, site work and select demolition for the Emanuel West addition to Legacy Emanuel Medical Center at 2835 N. Kerby Ave. The applicant is Michael Ward of Seattle-based NBBJ Architects, the contractor is Andersen Construction, and the owner is Legacy Emanuel Hospital Health Center.

• A $660,500 alteration permit was issued for the removal of a lattice tower from the roof of an AT&T building at 819 S.W. Oak St. The applicant is Betty Jane Thomas of Seattle-based Salas O’Brien, the contractor is Gilbane Building Company of Providence, Rhode Island, and the owner is AT&T Communications of the Pacific Northwest Inc., which is based in Bedminster, New Jersey.

• A $1,450,000 new construction permit was issued for a three-story, 18-unit apartment building at 6155 N. Minnesota Ave. The two-winged building will have an open-air central corridor and partial basement. The applicant is Nathan Day of Wright Architecture, the contractor is LEGA LLC, and the owner is Rochester LLC.

Building permit intakes for Sept. 3-9

• A $500,000 addition permit is under review for improvements to a utility building at 3405 S.W. Council Crest Drive. Work is to include a roof replacement, ladder installation, safety equipment, conduits, communications wiring, and cathodic protection system. The applicant is Stephen Ngai of Portland Water Bureau, and the owner is the city of Portland. No contractor is listed.

• An $859,214 new construction permit is under review for a three-story, 14-unit apartment building at 1825 N. Rosa Parks Way. The applicant is Nathan Arnold of Faster Permits, the contractor is Tieton Homes LLC, and the owner is 1825 N Rosa Parks Apartments LLC.

• A $605,406 new construction permit is under review for a two-story, 6,197-square-foot wastewater treatment facility at 17711 N.E. Riverside Parkway. The applicant is Kevan Petek of Design Group Facility Solutions and the owner is Harry’s Real Estate Partners LLC. The primary contractor is out to bid.

• A $750,000 alteration permit is under review for speculative tenant improvements to multiple suites at the Marquam Building at 2501 S.W. First Ave. The applicant is Jon McAuley of SERA Architects, the contractor is Turner Construction Company, and the owner is SW 1st Avenue – Company II LLC of Newport Beach, California.

• A $1,500,000 alteration permit is under review for a new passenger elevator with sump/basement to the second floor at Rose City Park Elementary School, at 2334 N.E. 57th Ave. The applicant is Nicholas Sakkau of owner Portland Public Schools, and the contractors are EC Company, Fortis Construction Inc., and Alliant Systems LLC.
