Building permits issued for Sept. 10-16

• A $5,749,711 addition permit was issued for expansion of the south pedestrian tunnel at Portland International Airport, 7000 N.E. Airport Way. The applicant is Mike Coyle of Faster Permits, the contractor is JE Dunn Construction Company, and the owner is the Port of Portland.

• A $637,000 alteration permit was issued for exterior façade improvements to a building at a retail shopping center at 1640 N.E. 122nd Ave. Separate permits were also issued for exterior façade improvements to buildings on the property: $200,000 for Building C, at 1740 N.E. 122nd Ave., and $325,000 for Building A, at 1718 N.E. 122nd Ave. The applicant is Matthew Lillard of Baysinger Partners Architecture, the contractor is Deacon Construction, and the owner is H&A Investment LLC.

• A $6,800,000 alteration permit was issued for work related to redevelopment of a TriMet administrative/operations facility at 9846 S.E. Powell Blvd. Permitted work includes demolition, site grading, utilities and tree removal/mitigation. A separate demolition permit valued at $250,000 was also issued for demolition of the main garage building. The applicant is Joseph Purkey of Convergence Architecture, the contractor is JE Dunn Construction Company, and the owner is TriMet.

• A $680,000 new construction permit was issued on deferred submittal for prefabricated wood trusses on a new multifamily building under construction at 2865 N.E. Sandy Blvd. The applicant is Adam Thomas of contractor Fairfield Development LP, and the owner is Fairfield Sandy Limited Partnership of San Diego.

• An $861,712 new construction permit was issued for a new three-story, 14-unit apartment building at 1213 N. Alberta St. The applicant is Mike Coyle of Faster Permits, the contractor is Kardia Construction LLC, and the owner is William Schwartz.

• A $500,000 new construction permit was issued on deferred submittal for suspended ceiling assemblies on Holland Partner Group’s 16-story mixed-use project under construction at 1470 N.W. Glisan St. The applicant is Dana Legg of Holland Partner Group, the contractor is Holland Construction Inc., and the owner is 14th & Glisan LLC.

• A $10,079,207 new construction permit was issued for expansion of the employee parking lot at Portland International Airport, 7000 N.E. Airport Way. Permitted work also includes relocation of site utilities and tree removal. The applicant is Mike Coyle of Faster Permits, the contractor is JE Dunn Construction Company, and the owner is the Port of Portland.

Building permit intakes for Sept. 10-16

• A $928,176 new construction permit is under review for a new three-story, 14-unit apartment building at 1615 N. Willis Blvd. The applicant is Nathan Arnold of Faster Permits, the contractor is Tieton Homes LLC, and the owner is 1615 N Willis Apartments LLC.

• A $3,100,000 new construction permit is under review for construction of a new prefabricated metal building, new covered wash rack and dumpster pit, and new parking lot at 10910 N. Denver Ave. The applicant is Robin Laughlin of Portland Parks & Recreation, the owner is the city of Portland, and the primary contractor is out to bid.

Facility permits issued for Sept. 10-16

• A $3,500,000 alteration permit was issued for a tenant improvement to the lobby of the Standard Insurance Center at 900 S.W. Fifth Ave. The applicant is Eliza Balen of GBD Architects, the contractor is Walsh Construction Co., and the owner is Standard Ins Co (Lease Mult Law Library).

• A $500,000 alteration permit was issued for modifications to a UPS facility at PDX Logistics Center at 9601 N.E. Alderwood Road. The applicant is Dave McCotter of contractor Hunter-Davisson, and the owner is the Port of Portland.

• A $2,050,000 alteration permit was issued for an expansion for a wide-bore MRI expansion at 4805 N.E. Glisan St. The applicant is Amanda Botway of owner Providence Health Services-Oregon, and the contractor is Lease Crutcher Lewis. A $650,000 mechanical alteration permit was also issued; the contractor is Harder Mechanical Contractors.

Facility permit intakes for Sept. 10-16

• A $599,000 alteration permit is under review for a tenant improvement for CollegeNET on the 15th floor of the Fox Tower building at 805 S.W. Broadway. The applicant is Pat Hills of Hills Design Group, and the owner is Fox Tower LLC. The primary contractor is out to bid.

• An $890,587 mechanical alteration permit is under review for a chiller and cooling tower replacement on the Pacific Center at 851 S.W. Sixth Ave. The applicant is Colby Lewis of contractor HMS Commercial Service Inc., and the owner is Sixth at Yam Owner LLC of Newport Beach, California.
