Charlie Hales recently returned to HDR as a senior vice president and the firm鈥檚 cross-sector director for urban planning and design. He was HDR鈥檚 senior vice president for transit planning for 10 years before serving a four-year term as Portland鈥檚 mayor. Hales developed and helped grow HDR鈥檚 transit planning business and helped lead streetcar projects around the country.
