Building permits issued for Oct. 1-7

  • A $950,000 addition permit was issued for a mezzanine and a tenant improvement for a first-time bookstore tenant with a café at the Guild Theatre space at 829 S.W. Ninth Ave. The applicant is Jena Sinclair of LRS Architects, the contractor is Russell Construction Inc., and the owner is Tom Moyer Theatres.
  • A $740,584 new construction permit was issued for a three-story, three-unit condominium building at 14450 N.E. Glisan St. The applicants are Pat Sauer of The Design Department and Gary Eckelman, the contractor is Right Point Construction LLC, and the owner is Enterprise NW LLC.

Building permit intakes for Oct. 1-7

  • A $20,500,000 new construction permit is under review for a new six-story mixed-use development on the 10400 block of Northeast Halsey Street adjacent to the existing Gateway Discovery Park. The building, developed by Gerding Edlen and Human Solutions, will have 40 units of affordable housing and 35 market-rate units. The applicant is Andre Vilhena of Holst Architecture, the contractor is LMC Construction, and the owner is the city of Portland.
  • A $31,600,000 new construction permit is under review for a new building at the Adidas campus at 5060 N. Greeley Ave. The building will have five levels of below-grade precast concrete and five stories of above-grade precast concrete and mass-timber hybrid construction. The applicant is Dannon Canterbury of Lever Architecture, the contractor is Turner Construction Company, and the owner is Adidas Village Corporation.

Facility permits issued for Oct. 1-7

  • An $8,075,000 alteration permit was issued for the Oregon Square office building at 830 N.E. Holladay St. The applicant is Russell Hale of GBD Architects, the contractor is Turner Construction Company, and the owner is AAT Lloyd District LLC.
  • A $750,000 alteration permit was issued for speculative improvements to multiple suites at the Marquam Building at 2501 S.W. First Ave. The applicant is Jon McAuley of SERA Architects, the contractor is Turner Construction Company, and the owner is SW 1st Avenue – Company II LLC of Newport Beach, California.
  • A $1,500,000 alteration permit was issued for a new passenger elevator at Rose City Park Elementary School at 2334 N.E. 57th Ave. The applicant is Nicholas Sukkau of Portland Public Schools, and the contractors are EC Company, Fortis Construction and Alliant Systems.
  • A $500,000 alteration permit was issued for speculative tenant improvement work at the Cascade Building at 520 S.W. Sixth Ave. The applicant is Matt Fitzgerald of GBD Architects, the contractor is Commercial Contractors Inc., and the owner is Felton Properties.
  • An $895,000 alteration permit was issued for the growing Portland Bureau of Transportation on the 13th floor of the Sixth + Main building at 1050 S.W. Sixth Ave. The applicant is Rachel Becker of Bainbridge, the contractor is Swinerton Builders, and the owner is Seattle-based ASVRF Unico Portland I LLC.
  • A $557,731 mechanical alteration permit was issued for improvements to the basement through fourth floors of the Wells Fargo Center at 1300 S.W. Fifth Ave. The applicant is Paul Lukes of contractor Streimer Sheet Metal, and the owner is SOF-XI WFP Owner LLC of Greenwich, Connecticut.

Facility permit intakes for Oct. 1-7

  • A $652,000 alteration permit is under review for improvements to the former Nordstrom space at the Lloyd Center mall, at 2201 N.E. Lloyd Blvd. The work will include demolition of all floors to return the tenant space to a shell. The applicant is Anna Wilcox of Waterleaf Architecture, the contractor is Colorado Structures Inc., and the owner is Capref Lloyd Center LLC.
  • A $1,293,000 alteration permit is under review for a tenant improvement for Cosgrave Vergeer Kester on the 24th floor of the Standard Insurance Center at 900 S.W. Fifth Ave. The applicant is Micheal Leigland of GBD Architects, the contractor is Walsh Construction Co., and the owner is Standard Ins Co (Lease Mult Law Library).
  • A $3,424,850 alteration permit is under review for a Genentech Access Solutions center on the 12th through 14th floors of the Lloyd Center Tower at 825 N.E. Multnomah St. The applicant is Joseph Storr of FFA Architecture and Interiors, the owner is PacifiCorp, and the primary contractor is out to bid. A $790,350 mechanical alteration permit is also under review for the project; the contractor is out to bid.
  • A $905,000 mechanical alteration permit is under review for HVAC improvements to the Oregon Convention Center at 777 N.E. Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd. The applicant is Brent Shelby of owner Metro, and the primary contractor is out to bid.
