As part of the 2019 Oregon Governor’s Occupational and Health Conference, organizers will shine the spotlight on outstanding promoters of workplace safety and health excellence.

Nominations are now being sought for industry professionals and firms that exemplify best practices in a range of categories. They include: workplace safety program, association, safety committee/team, innovation, safety/health/wellness advocate (individual or team), labor representative, and safety and health professional (industry specific).

Awards will be presented March 6, 2019, during the three-day GOSH conference, which is one of the largest of its kind in the U.S. The event will take place at the Oregon Convention Center in Portland.

鈥淭he awards are a great way to recognize employers and individuals across a range of industries for outstanding work to create and maintain safe and healthy workplaces,鈥 spokesman Aaron Corvin said.

The Oregon Occupational Safety and Health Division (Oregon OSHA) and the Columbia-Willamette chapter of the American Society of Safety Professionals are co-sponsoring the conference.
