Building permits issued for Nov. 19-25

  • A $1,100,000 alteration permit was issued for the repair of exterior terra cotta cladding on the west and south sides of the historic Yeon Building at 522 S.W. Fifth Ave. The repairs involve replacement of existing material with glass fiber-reinforced concrete, which will be anchored to the existing steel support system. The applicant is Wade Younie of DCI Engineers, the contractor is Pioneer Masonry Restoration Company Inc., and the owner is GC Yeon LLC of San Francisco.
  • A $500,000 utility alteration permit was issued for the removal of three underground fuel storage tanks and gas pumps and the installation of two new tanks and pumps at a gas station at 1111 N.W. 21st Ave. The applicant is Mike Zirkle of WSCO Petroleum, the contractor is Central Service Inc., and the owner is Earlyoil LLC.

Building permit intakes for Nov. 19-25

  • A $1,700,000 addition permit is under review for a 2,500-square-foot addition to the south side of a medical clinic at 4212 N.E. Broadway. The applicant is Ted Lundin of Lundin Cole Architects, the contractor is R&H Construction, and the owner is Rose City Investment Co.
  • An $813,000 alteration permit is under review for improvements to Glenhaven Park at 7900 N.E. Siskiyou St. The scope of work is to include demolition of playground equipment, pathways and a wading pool, and construction of a new playground, pedestrian walkways and landscaping. The applicant is Gary Datka of Portland Parks & Recreation, the owner is the city of Portland, and the primary contractor is out to bid.
  • A $1,007,643 new construction permit is under review for construction of a new two-story office building shell on a 0.37-acre heavy industrial-zoned property at 3660 S./N.W. Front Ave. The applicant is Alex Lindquist of owner Lindquist Lands LLC; no contractor is listed.

  • A $2,062,520 alteration permit was issued for improvements to the Tamarack Apartments complex at 4257 N. Alaska St. Permitted work includes extensive site work and improvements to one building and a carport. The applicant is Kevin Saxton of KASA Architects, the contractor is LMC Construction, and the owner is Home Forward.
  • A $520,000 mechanical alteration permit was issued for rooftop HVAC equipment replacements on the 1515 Market Square building at 1515 S.W. Fifth Ave. The applicant is Jeff Jensen, the contractor is Reitmeier HVAC Services, and the owner is Weston Investment Co LLC.
