The Hood River County School District is seeking a general contractor to tackle renovations of both Parkdale and Westside elementary schools.
A nonmandatory pre-bid meeting and site tour is scheduled for 10 a.m. on Nov. 28, at the district’s administration building, 1111 Eugene St. in Hood River. Formal bids must be submitted no later than 2 p.m. on Dec. 18.

Opsis Architecture is designing both school renovations, as well as a host of other projects being paid for with money from a $57.1 million bond measure approved by voters in 2016. Pendleton-based Wenaha Group is providing construction management services for the district’s bond projects.
District officials estimate that the combined construction cost for both renovations will run between $4 million and $5 million.
