Building permits issued for Dec. 10-16

  • A $1,175,000 addition permit was issued for a new tenant improvement for two floors of office space at the Irving Street Lofts building at 630 N.W. 14th Ave. The applicant is Ray Yancey of Myhre Group Architects, the contractor is Fortis Construction, and the owners are Marketplace I and Association of Unit Owners of Irving Street Lofts.
  • A $5,086,201 addition permit was issued for improvements to The Glass Lab, a creative office redevelopment at 350 S.E. Mill St. being conducted by a partnership between ScanlanKemperBard, Tryba Architects and Lorentz Bruun Construction principals. The core-and-shell improvements include interior demolition, new mezzanines and stairs, and replacements of storefront and overhead doors. The applicant is Dan Williams of Faster Permits, the contractor is Lorentz Bruun Construction, and the owner is PJM Bldg II LLC.
  • A $1,132,640 addition permit was issued for a tenant improvement to the DoveLewis animal hospital at 1945 N.W. Pettygrove St. The applicant is Brian Varricchione of Mackenzie, the contractor is R&H Construction, and the owner is Dove American LLC.
  • A $23,000,000 alteration permit was issued for an interior tenant improvement for NW Natural’s new office space at the 250 Taylor office building under construction at 250 S.W. Taylor St. The applicant is Chelsey Baliva of GBD Architects, the contractor is Turner Construction Co., and the owner is Third & Taylor Office Owner LLC.
  • A $520,000 new construction permit was issued on deferred submittal for curtainwall and storefront systems on the RiverPlace Parcel 3 project at 2045 S.W. River Parkway. The applicant is Matthew Brand of contractor Hoffman Construction, and the owner is the city of Portland.
  • A $31,600,000 new construction permit was issued for the structural frame for a new building at the Adidas campus at 5060 N. Greeley Ave. The building will include five levels of below-grade precast construction for a parking garage, and five stories of above-grade precast concrete with cross-laminated timber, glulam beams, and concrete slab hybrid construction. The permit also includes MEP work for below-grade parking, mat slab foundation and site-cast concrete cores with stairs. The applicant is Dannon Canterbury of LEVER Architecture, the contractor is Turner Construction Co., and the owner is Adidas Village Corporation.
  • A $9,000,000 new construction permit is under inspection for the 4th & Montgomery project, a ¾-block, seven-story mixed-use building on a downtown parcel at Southwest Fourth Avenue and Montgomery Street. The permit is for foundation work and structure up to level two of the building, which will house students and workers from PSU, OHSU, PCC and the city of Portland. The applicant is Sam Stadler of SRG Partnership, the contractor is Andersen Construction, and the owner is the Portland State University Campus Planning Office.

  • A $750,525 addition permit is under review for a tenant improvement for a first-time tenant at the Alberta Commons retail center at 5015 N.E. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. Proposed work includes construction of a new mezzanine and interior partition walls. The applicant is Stephen Blackstone of Interior Architects, the owner is Majestic Alberta Commons LLC of City of Industry, California, and the primary contractor is out to bid.
  • A $1,158,000 alteration permit is under review for the remodel of a former restaurant space at 14601 S.E. Division St. into a new medical clinic. The applicant is Chris Spurgin of Christopher Spurgin Architect, the owner is Planned Parenthood of the Columbia Willamette Inc., and the primary contractor is out to bid.
  • A $1,056,807 new construction permit is under review for a new three-story, seven-unit apartment building with associated site work and at-grade parking at 5432 N.E. 18th Ave. The applicant is Austin Cheadle of Faster Permits, and the owner and contractor is Green Canopy Homes LLC.
  • A $17,000,000 new construction permit is under review for Ethos Development’s Nomad mixed-use project, a new seven-story building at 1431 N. Church St. The building will consist of five stories of wood-framed construction over two levels of post-tensioned concrete slabs and columns. The applicant is Alex Porter of Works Progress Architecture, the contractor is R&H Construction, and the owner is Denise Johnson.
  • A $748,757 new construction permit is under review for a new three-story, 12-unit apartment building at 5833 N. Maryland Ave. The applicant is Ryan Pickrel of Faster Permits, and the contractor and owner is K&C Custom Homes LLC.
  • A $529,426 new construction permit submitted on deferred submittal is under review for cold-formed metal framing on the parking garage and office building under construction at 1075 N.E. Second Ave., part of the Hyatt Regency Portland at the Oregon Convention Center project. The applicant is Anthony Martinez of Mortenson, the contractor is MA Mortenson Company, and the owner is PDC DBA Prosper Portland.

  • An $8,500,000 alteration permit was issued for the renovation of Schrunk Riverview Tower, an 11-story, 118-unit public housing building at 8832 N. Syracuse St. The applicant is Taryn Wheeler of MWA Architects, the contractor is LMC Construction, and the owner is Home Forward. A $550,000 mechanical alteration permit was also issued for the project; the contractor is Andersen Heating Inc.
  • A $952,419 alteration permit was issued for a tenant improvement for Roundhouse at the Custom Blocks building at 925 S.E. Main St. The applicant is Eric Wenzel, the contractor is Perlo Construction, and the owner is Premium Property – CSNS LLC.

  • A $1,815,000 alteration permit is under review for an athletic facility tenant improvement on the fourth floor of a Brewery Blocks building at 1125 N.W.
