Building permits issued for Jan. 7-13

  • A $582,000 addition permit was issued for a tenant improvement for a restaurant and bar at 4232 N. Williams Ave. The applicant is Corey Omey of EMA Architecture LLC, the contractor is O’Brien & Company, and the owner is Ruben J Menashe Inc.
  • A $1,497,840 alteration permit was issued for a revision to remove a pedestal under a grease interceptor at the new Mother’s Bistro location at 121 S.W. Third Ave. The applicant is Mike Coyle of Faster Permits, the contractor is R&H Construction, and the owner is Ashford PH Partners LP of Dallas, Texas.
  • An $11,750,000 new construction permit was issued for a four-story affordable housing building with flats, two-story townhomes and covered parking at 6465 N.E. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. The applicant is Keith Whiting of Merryman Barnes Architects, the contractor is Colas Construction, and the owner is the Portland Housing Bureau.
  • A $27,285,000 new construction permit was issued for the 15-story Hyatt Centric hotel under construction at 601 S.W. 11th Ave., including exterior framing and envelope systems, interior framing systems and finishes. The applicant is Jon McAuley of SERA Architects and the owner is Portland Hotel Properties LLC of Chicago. No contractor is listed, but the building is being erected by Mortenson Construction.

Building permit intakes for Jan. 7-13

  • A $1,266,728 new construction permit is under review for a four-story, 18-unit apartment building at 506 N.E. 53rd Ave. The applicant is Gene Bolante of Studio 3 Architecture, the contractor is WDC Construction, and the owner is Billy Lymm.
  • A $7,971,960 new construction permit is under review for a single-story cold shell storage building with on-site parking, a retaining wall and site work including a pedestrian path and bridges on wetland areas, at 4615 N.E. 158th Ave. The applicant is Michael Terpnier of Mackenzie, the owner is Kelley Callahan of Highlands Ranch, Colorado, and the primary contractor is out to bid.

Facility permits issued for Jan. 7-13

  • A $4,250,000 alteration permit was issued for a PET/MRI tenant improvement at Oregon Health & Science University at 3181 S.W. Sam Jackson Park Road. The applicant is Ray Person of PKA Architects, the contractor is Skanska USA Building, and the owner is the state of Oregon. Also, a $400,000 mechanical alteration permit was issued for the project; the contractor is Total Mechanical Inc.
  • A $500,000 mechanical alteration permit was issued for a tenant improvement for Finastra on the third floor of the Meier & Frank Building at 621 S.W. Fifth Ave. The applicant is Jessica Lozano of contractor Alliant Systems, and the owner is EOSII/SB Portland LLC of Newport Beach, California.
  • A $1,000,000 multiple dwellings/single lot improvement permit was issued for site improvements to include grading, landscaping, utilities and fencing for a development with multiple townhomes at 1537 N. Blandena St. The applicant is Jodi Dubyoski of Brett Schulz Architect, the contractor is Albina Construction LLC, and the owner is Portland Community Reinvest Initiatives Inc.

  • A $1,100,000 alteration permit is under review for a Wyndham PDX off-site sales office tenant improvement on the first floor of an office building at 218 S.W. First Ave. The applicant is Jeannie Chee of Bellevue, Washington-based JPC Architects, the contractor is R&H Construction, and the owner is Lex Industries LLC.
