Building permits issued for March 4-10

• A $10,590,186 addition permit was issued for revisions to shell-only work on the Iron Fireman Collective building at 4644 S.E. 17th Ave. The applicant is Mike Rueter of Mackenzie, the contractor is Lorentz Bruun Construction, and the owner is Iron Fireman Building LLC.

• A $959,900 alteration permit was issued for the replacement of wood siding with fiber cement siding on the Cook Street Apartments building at 107 N. Cook St. The applicant is Todd Knudson of LRS Architects, the contractor is ECC LLC of Centennial, Colorado, and the owner is BIR Cook Street LLC of Irvine, California.

• Two new construction permits, each valued at $1,150,000, were issued for a pair of three-story, 15-unit apartment buildings at 6770 and 6780 N. Maryland Ave. The applicant is Ben Carr of Brett Schulz Architect, the contractor is Sams Development Inc., and the owner is 1340 N Dekum LLC.

• A $680,000 new construction permit was issued on deferred submittal for post-tensioned decks on levels one and two of Raleigh 22 – a six-story, 173-unit mixed-use building developed by Cairn Pacific at 2222 N.W. Raleigh St. The applicant is Jake Gustafson of contractor R&H Construction, and the owner is 2222 Raleigh LLC of San Mateo, California.

• A $44,626,932 new construction permit was issued for a new TriMet administrative/operations building at 9800 S.E. Powell Blvd. The applicant is Joseph Purkey of Convergence Architecture, the contractor is JE Dunn Construction Co., and the owner is TriMet.

Building permit intakes for March 4-10

• A $575,475 addition permit is under review for an addition and conversion of a former single-family residence at 3565 N.E. Broadway to a hotel; the project will include adding structural support to the existing building and a change of occupancy from R3 to R1. The applicant is Paul Owens of Owens-Laing LLC, the owner is Jeffrey Taylor of Salinas, California, and the primary contractor is out to bid.

• An $800,000 alteration permit is under review for a core and shell renovation of a two-story building with a basement at 538 S.E. Ash St. The work is to include a full seismic and structural upgrade. The applicant is Brian Melton of DiLoreto Architecture, the contractor is Bulldog Mechanical & Remodeling Inc., and the owner is TVOA LLC.

• A $2,880,000 new construction permit is under review for new seating and amenities for Joe Etzel Field, the baseball stadium at the University of Portland, at 5000 N. Willamette Blvd. The stadium will be outfitted with a new press box, concessions, seating and restrooms. A $320,000 demolition permit is also sought for the project. The applicant is Bethany Gelbrich of SRG Partnership, and the owner is the University of Portland. The primary contractor is out to bid.

• A $599,145 new construction permit submitted on deferred submittal is under review for storefront and curtainwall on Key Development’s Block 76 West project at 365 N.E. Couch St. The applicant is Aadne Tonning of contractor Andersen Construction, and the owner is Block 76 LLC.

• A $1,275,299 new construction permit is under review for a new single-story building with a mezzanine for an auto dealership at 1445 N. Hayden Island Drive. The applicant is Stewart Straus of Stewart Gordon Straus Architect PC, the owner is Mazen Sarieddine, and the primary contractor is out to bid.

Facility permits issued for March 4-10

• A $2,730,000 alteration permit was issued for improvements to Multnomah County’s Department of Community Justice East complex at 1245 S.E. 122nd Ave., including seismic upgrades and a roof replacement. A $773,000 permit was also issued for demolition work, and a $434,000 mechanical alteration permit was also issued. The applicant is Greg Hockert of owner Multnomah County, and the contractor is Cedar Mill Construction Company.

• A $1,291,798 alteration permit was issued for a tenant improvement for BPM Real Estate on the 17th floor of its Broadway Tower building at 1455 S.W. Broadway. The applicant is Breanna Walters of GBD Architects, the contractor is Balfour Beatty Construction, and the owner is BDC/SW Broadway LLC.

• A $705,000 alteration permit was issued for MRI replacements at Oregon Health & Science University at 3251 S.W. Sam Jackson Park Road. The applicant is George Larson, the contractor is Hoffman Construction Company, and the owner is the state of Oregon.

• A $900,000 alteration permit was issued for a tenant improvement for Young’s Market Company, including installation of high pile storage racking, at 16913 N.E. Cameron Blvd. The applicant is Alan Orriny, the contractor is United Installation Services Inc. of Perris, California, and the owner is CPUS Cameron LP of Addison, Texas.

• A $750,000 alteration permit was issued for the creation of labs and office space on the fifth and sixth floors of the Lamfrom Biomedical Research Building at OHSU at 3181 S.W. Sam Jackson Park Road. The applicant is Michelle Donohue of Ankrom Moisan Architects, the contractor is MA Mortenson Company, and the owner is the state of Oregon.

• A $700,000 alteration permit is under review for a ninth-floor tenant improvement for Google at 331 S.W. Sixth Ave. The applicant is Jeanne Jameson of ZGF Architects, the contractor is Swinerton Builders, and the owner is 309 SW 6th Ave Property LLC of El Segundo, California.

• A $2,308,000 alteration permit is under review for improvements to Providence Portland Medical Center at 4805 N.E. Glisan St. The applicant is Joe Webb of owner Providence Health Services-Oregon, and the contractor is Fortis Construction. A $244,000 mechanical alteration permit is also under review for the project; the contractor is Harder Mechanical Contractors.

• A $700,000 multiple dwellings/single lot improvement permit is under review for six new attached two-story townhomes at 6415 N. Montana Ave. The applicant is Ryan Pickrel of Faster Permits, and the contractor and owner is K&C Custom Homes.
