Project Description: Oregon State University intends to renovate and upgrade between 50,000 – 75,000 square foot within the Research Way Laboratory Building (RWLB). This facility will be a key component to accommodate university surge space for research, educational and administrative personnel during future renovations for other research facilities on OSU’s campus. The RWLB will serve as many as 200 principle investigators, research faculty and graduate students.

Key components of the Project include the following:
1. Construction & renovation of flexible wet and dry labs to accommodate multiple types of research.

2. Construction & renovation of new and refurbished research support spaces that are flexible to accommodate a range of needs.

3. Light remodel and renovation of existing wet and dry labs to meet current code and OSU campus standards.

4. Light renovation to collaborative conference and meeting rooms.

5. Light facility office upgrades that can serve as many as 200 FTE (Full time Equivalent) as well as visiting faculty and scholars.

6. Construction and renovation for storage for research collections.

7. Infrastructure upgrades and deferred maintenance to existing plumbing & HVAC equipment.

8. Retro-commissioning and include work with Energy Trust of Oregon to increase energy efficiency of all new and refurbished equipment.

*A non-mandatory project walk-thru will be hosted at the Research Way site on 05/07 at 2:00 PM. Meet at the Front Lobby Entrance (West Elevation)

1. RFP is for award of pre-construction contract only. Andersen intends to award construction contract to selected trade partner contingent on satisfactory performance and adherence to cost targets.

Trade partner proposals are due to Andersen Construction by May 24th, 2019 @ 2:00 pm.
