Building permits issued for July 8-14

• A $680,226 addition permit was issued for multiple new spaces at the Parkview Christian Retirement Community building at 1825 N.E. 108th Ave. The applicant is John Haswell of LRS Architects, the contractor is Joseph Hughes Construction, and the owner is Oregon Baptist Retirement Homes.

• A $7,421,230 addition permit was issued for grading work associated with excavation and surcharge for a new warehouse building at 13333 N. Rivergate Blvd. The applicant is Ryan Weston of Mackenzie, the owner is Port of Portland (Leased Georgia-Pacific Consumer Product [Northwest] LLC), and the contractor is Perlo Construction.

• A $1,700,000 addition permit was issued for a 2,500-square-foot addition to a medical building at 1620 N.E. 42nd Ave. The applicant is Ted Lundin of Lundin Cole Architects, the contractor is R&H Construction Co., and the owner is Rose City Investment Co.

• A $1,400,000 new construction permit was issued for a three-story, 12-unit apartment building at 7122 N. Greenwich Ave. The applicant is Dan Williams of Faster Permits, the owner is Drew Russell, and the primary contractor is out to bid.

• A $3,000,000 new construction permit was issued for a four-story, 33-unit apartment building with a basement at 116 N.E. 16th Ave. The applicant is David Hyman of DECA Architecture, and the owner and contractor is Exceptional Homes by Andre Inc.

• A $3,500,000 new construction permit was issued for a four-story mixed-use building with ground-floor commercial space and 36 residential units on floors two through floor. The applicant is Carrie Strickland of Works Progress Architecture, the contractor is Hamilton & Kashoro Group, and the owner is Mark Vuong of ND Block LLC.

• A $1,281,675 new construction permit was issued for a three-story, 12-unit apartment building at 9757 S.E. Holgate Blvd. The applicant is Justin Nguyen of Wynn Design, the contractor is Columbia Equities Inc., and the owner is NT Development.

• A $44,000,000 new construction permit is under inspection for the new Kellogg Middle School building at 3400 S.E. 69th Ave. The project will consist of a new three-story, 100,000-square-foot building and extensive site improvements. The applicant is Deb France of Oh planning + design architecture, the contractor is Todd Construction, and the owner is Portland Public Schools.

• A $599,145 new construction permit was issued on deferred submittal for storefront and curtainwall on Key Development’s Block 76 West building under construction at 365 N.E. Couch St. The applicant is Aadne Tonning of contractor Andersen Construction, and the owner is Block 76 LLC.

• A $940,080 new construction permit is under review for a three-story, 14-unit apartment building at 1336 N. Watts St. The applicant is Nathan Arnold of Faster Permits, the contractor is Tieton Homes, and the owner is 1336 N Watts Apartments LLC.

• A $13,600,000 new construction permit is under review for the Gideon Overcrossing, a bridge – for pedestrians and bicyclists – spanning heavy rail and MAX Orange Line light-rail tracks near Southeast 13th Place and Gideon Street. The applicant is Mike Corrente of owner TriMet.

Facility permits issued for July 8-14

• A $1,000,000 alteration permit was issued for renovations to the 11th, 12th, 14th and 15th floors of Portland State University’s Ondine residence hall at 1912 S.W. Sixth Ave. The applicant is Mark Fuji of PSU, the owner is the Oregon State Board of Higher Education Campus Planning Office, and the contractor is Andersen Construction Co.

• A $547,846 alteration permit was issued for a Providence Home Services Pharmacy at 6402 N.E. Halsey St. The applicant is Kevin Dunn of owner Providence Health & Services – Oregon, and the contractor is Fortis Construction. A $238,505 mechanical alteration permit was also issued for the project; the contractor is Harder Mechanical Contractors.

• A $667,000 alteration permit was issued for the exterior renovation of an office building at 5550 S.W. Macadam Ave. The applicant is Rachel Zanetti of FFA Architecture + Interiors, the contractor is Lorentz Bruun Construction, and the owner is WL-SKB Johns Landing 5550 Owner LLC of San Francisco.

• A $636,000 multiple dwellings/single lot improvement permit is under inspection for grading and other site improvements at 9626 S.E.
