  • Early assistance is sought for a new development consisting of 16 attached dwellings at 1822 S.E. Cesar E. Chavez Blvd. The approximately 1,800-square-foot dwellings would be located on individual lots served by a common driveway. The applicant is Brandon Dole, and the owner is Z F Develop LLC.
  • Early assistance is sought for a new 160- to 180-unit affordable housing development at 12529 S.E. Powell Blvd., a 3.78-acre property with a cluster of commercial buildings fronting Powell Boulevard. The units would range in size between one and three bedrooms, and the development would include a resident community room and support spaces. The applicant is Bill Lanning of MWA Architects, and the owner is Kenneth Lord.
  • Early assistance is sought for construction of a new concrete pad for a mobile PET/CT scanner at Compass Oncology’s Rose Quarter Cancer Center facility at 265 N. Broadway. The project would include demolition of approximately 1,700 square feet of parking and sidewalk space, installation of the pad and a covered concrete walkway. The applicant is Amy Tallent of VLMK Engineering + Design, and the owner is AOR Real Estate Inc. of Houston, Texas.
  • Early assistance is sought for modifications to the exterior of one of two mixed-use buildings at 404 N.W. 23rd Ave. Windows and stucco will be replaced on the frontages along Northwest 23rd Avenue and Northwest Flanders Street of the west building on the site. The applicant is Michael Cline of RDH Building Science, and the owner is Flanders PDX LLC et al, which is registered to another limited liability corporation managed by Urban Development Partners. A Type Ix historic resource review is also sought for new rooftop condensing units for a future tenant at the building, and new rooftop fans for a future kitchen. The applicant is Seth Moran of Michael Flowers Architect. A Type II historic resource review is also sought for a new retail tenant storefront upgrade, including new entry doors, canopy and signage. The applicant is Sabrina Cheung of Skylab Architecture.
  • A Type III design review is sought for a 14-level hospital expansion for Oregon Health & Science University at 3181 S.W. Sam Jackson Park Road. The project, which has been the subject of two design advice hearings, will include eight levels of hospital programming, three levels of parking, two mechanical floors and a ground-level entry floor. The applicant is Carl Tully of Seattle-based NBBJ, and the owner is the Oregon State Board of Higher Education.
  • A Type II design review with modifications is sought for one of four buildings to be developed sequentially on four separate lots at Northeast Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and Failing Street. Modifications sought for the building, at 3802 N.E. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., include ground-floor window and frontage standards for dwelling units, and modifications for vertically hung bike rack spacing. The applicant is Max Taschek of William Kaven Architecture, and the owner is MLK Failing LLC, which is managed by a limited liability corporation operated by developers Vic and Wally Remmers.
