Building permits issued for July 22-28

  • A $750,000 alteration permit was issued for kitchen renovations at a senior living facility at 6125 S.E. Division St. The applicant is Zac Horton of Faster Permits, the contractor is R&H Construction, and the owner is SSSHT Propco SE Division Street LLC of Ladera Ranch, California.
  • A $3,116,000 alteration permit was issued for the replacement of hypochlorite and wash water piping and pipe supports at the Columbia Boulevard Wastewater Treatment Plant at 5001 N. Columbia Blvd. The applicant is Jennifer Coker of the Portland Bureau of Environmental Services, the contractor is Boise, Idaho-based Record Steel & Construction Inc., and the owner is the city of Portland.
  • A $4,059,690 new construction permit was issued for a four-story mixed-use building with 39 residential units over ground-floor retail space at 5470 N.E. 16th Ave. The applicant is Carrie Strickland of Works Progress Architecture, the contractor is Robertson & Olson Construction, and the owner is 1616 Killingsworth LLC.
  • A $9,212,833 new construction permit was issued for a new five-story mixed-use building with 86 apartment units at 521 N.E. 16th Ave. The applicant is Mike Coyle of Faster Permits, the contractor is Essex General Construction, and the owner is CA Glisan 16 Owner LLC of San Diego, California.
  • A revision was issued for a $6,016,000 grading permit for a TriMet administrative/operations facility at 9846 S.E. Powell Blvd. Changes to plan sheets are related to bus charging systems and corresponding vaults, as well as other site work. The applicant is Joseph Purkey of Convergence Architecture, the contractor is JE Dunn Construction, and the owner is TriMet.
  • A $500,000 new construction permit was issued on deferred submittal for post-tensioned concrete on the 12-story Moxy Hotel under construction at 585 S.W. 10th Ave. The applicant is Mike Zupan of Howard S. Wright, the contractor is Balfour Beatty Construction, and the owner is L-63 LLC.
  • A $13,753,321 new construction permit was issued for a three-story self-storage building at 16061 S.E. Division St. The applicant is Mike Coyle of Faster Permits, the contractor is Perlo Construction, and the owner is LG Division Storage LLC of Austin, Texas.
  • A $1,868,000 new construction permit was issued for a private cast-in-place concrete tunnel underneath the future Southwest Meade Street near Oregon Health & Science University’s Knight Cancer Research Building at 2750 S.W. Moody St. The applicants are Matt Johnson of KPFF Consulting Engineers and Mike Buckiewicz of OHSU, the contractor is McDonald Excavating Inc., and the owner is OHSU.

  • A $2,248,126 alteration permit was issued for a tenant improvement on the second floor of the Auditorium Building at OHSU’s Marquam Hill campus. The applicant is Brian Hjelte of Waterleaf Architecture, the contractor is Skanska USA Building, and the owner is the Oregon State Board of Higher Education.
  • A $7,000,000 alteration permit was issued on deferred submittal for seismic bracing of mechanical/electrical/plumbing equipment at the Portland Building at 1120 S.W. Fifth Ave. The applicant is Liz Buchholz of contractor General Sheet Metal, and the owner is the city of Portland.

  • A $1,500,000 alteration permit is under review for a tenant improvement for Key Bank on the 20th floor of the PacWest Center at 1211 S.W. Fifth Ave. The applicant is Kenneth Pai of the Seattle office of CallisonRTKL, the owner is Chicago-based TR PacWest LLC, and the primary contractor is out to bid.
