Building permits issued for July 29-Aug. 4

  • A $960,159 alteration permit was issued for the remodel of a two-story building at 018 S.W. Boundary Court. The applicant is Nicholas Vipond of Livermore Architecture & Engineering Inc., the contractor is Joseph Hughes Construction, and the owner is JEH Family Limited Partnership.
  • A $2,790,000 alteration permit was issued for a tenant improvement for a first-time tenant at 15200 N. Lombard St. Scope of work is to include additions of a delivery package sorting area and exterior openings for a loading area. The applicant is Nathan Arnold of Faster Permits, the contractor is Perlo Construction, and the owner is Port of Portland (Leased Rivergate V Associates LLC).
  • Four separate new construction permits, each valued at $644,175, were issued for a total of four four-story, two-unit apartment buildings at 1845 and 1853 N.W. 28th Ave., and 2809 and 2817 N.W. Thurman St. The applicant is Gauri Vengurlekar of Fieldwork Design & Architecture, the contractor is ADC 1 LLC, and the owner is 28th & Thurman LLC of Santa Rosa, California.
  • A $9,519,269 new construction permit was issued for a five-story, 146-unit wood-framed apartment building at 2590 N.W. Upshur St. The applicant is David Mullens of Urban Development Group, the contractor is SK Hoff Construction, and the owner is CFC Group LLC.
  • A $2,880,000 new construction permit was issued for new seating and amenities for Joe Etzel Field, at the University of Portland, at 5000 N. Willamette Blvd. The baseball stadium will be outfitted with a new press box, concessions, seating and restrooms. A $320,000 demolition permit was also issued for the project. The applicant is Bethany Gelbrich of SRG Partnership, and the contractor is Yorke & Curtis.

  • A $1,815,499 alteration permit was issued for a tenant improvement for Lincoln Property Co. on the 26th floor of the PacWest Center at 1211 S.W. Fifth Ave. The applicant is Kent Pottebaum of GBD Architects, the owner is TR PacWest LLC of Chicago, and the contractor is Lease Crutcher Lewis.
  • A $7,500,000 excavation permit was issued for shoring and excavation work to prepare for the 35-story Block 216 tower at 936 S.W. Washington St. The building will include five stories of below-grade parking. The applicant is Jesse Emory of GBD Architects, the contractor is Balfour Beatty Construction, and the owner is Block 216 LLC.

Facility permit intakes for July 29-Aug. 4

  • A $24,637,067 alteration permit is under review for the building enclosure package for the Portland Building reconstruction project, at 1120 S.W. Fifth Ave. This includes a deferred submittal for land use review of interpretive displays mandated as part of the conditions of approval set for the project by the Historic Landmarks Commission. The displays are to include interpretive materials describing the original and proposed construction methods installed within the building’s loggia, or, per Portland Bureau of Transportation approval, on the Southwest Fifth Avenue sidewalk. The applicant is Erica Ceder of DLR Group, and the contractor is Balfour Beatty Construction.
  • A $2,000,000 alteration permit is under review for a tenant improvement for Basics Market in a retail building at 930 N.W. 14th Ave. The applicant is Matthew Bray, the owner is LJNorth LLC, and the primary contractor is out to bid.
