Design advice is sought for a four-story, 19-unit apartment building with a walk-out basement level at 2124 N.W. Flanders St. Outdoor balcony space would be included on floors one through four, and the building would contain a roof deck, a partial green roof and solar panels. Design advice is sought for the renovation and seismic upgrade of the historic Central Courthouse building at 1021 S.W. Fourth Ave. The 107-year-old building was sold last year to NBP Capital, which is leasing it back to Multnomah County until a new $324.5 million courthouse is completed next year. A Type II design review with modifications is sought for a new residential development consisting of two four-story buildings organized around a shared courtyard at 3733 N. The project would contain 12 studio units and 18 one-bedroom units. Modifications are requested to pedestrian standards and the transit street multi-dwelling main entrance location. A Type III design review with modifications is sought for the Dairy Apartments, a seven-story multifamily building that would replace a former Sunshine Dairy building at 801 N.E. 21st Ave. The Portland Design Commission offered near-unanimous praise for the project during a design advice hearing in June. Two modifications and an adjustment to the minimum parking requirement are requested. The applicant is Chris Hodney of Hacker, and the owner is NBP Sunshine LLC. The project’s developer is Eastbank, an affiliate of NBP Capital.
A Type III historic resource review is sought for a new 16-unit apartment building on a 5,000-square-foot parcel on the 2200 block of Northwest Kearney Street.
