Building permits issued for Sept. 23-29

• A $1,400,000 addition permit was issued on deferred submittal for curtainwall and glazing systems on the Exchange Building at 350 S.W. Jefferson St. The work is part of a modernization project that also includes the adjoining Wells Fargo Center one block to the west. The applicant is Devon Renard of contractor Turner Construction, and the owner is Sof-Xi WFP Owner LLC of Greenwich, Connecticut.

• A $2,102,638 addition permit was issued on deferred submittal for curtainwall and punched openings on the Oregon Elks Children’s Eye Clinic project on Oregon Health & Science University’s Marquam Hill campus, at 545 S.W. Campus Drive. The applicant is Matthew Little of contractor Skanska USA Building, and the owner is the Oregon State Board of Higher Education.

• A $612,993 alteration permit was issued for a change of occupancy with exterior work for a new tenant in a retail building at 1100 N.E. Weidler St. The project will create new office spaces, seminar rooms, a teller area, workout rooms, an open office area and a new storefront. The applicant is Zac Horton of Faster Permits, the contractor is P&C Construction, and the owner is TMT Lloyd Retail Inc. of San Francisco.

• Five new construction permits with a combined value of $3,833,806 are under inspection for a five-building affordable housing development at 420-460 N.E. 147th Ave. The development will include four three-story buildings with a combined total of 44 units and a community building with laundry facilities. The applicant is Doug Circosta of Doug Circosta Architect, the contractor is Constructive Inc., and the owner is Relay Lift I LLC.

• A $1,486,152 alteration permit is under review for improvements to Creston Park at 4454 S.E. Powell Blvd., including a playground renovation, upgraded parking and asphalt and concrete pedestrian pathways. The applicant is Gary Datka of Portland Parks & Recreation, the owner is the city of Portland, and the primary contractor is out to bid.

• A $926,509 alteration permit is under review for a tenant improvement for a new tenant in an office building at 733 S.W. Oak St. The applicant is Mike Coyle of Faster Permits, the contractor is Todd Hess Building Co., and the owner is Balfour-Guthrie Investment Partners LLC.

• A $693,136 new construction permit is under review for a new three-story, four-unit apartment building at 1014 N.E. Alberta St. The applicant is Zac Horton of Faster Permits, the owners are Carl, Christopher and Melinda Blakeslee of Mercer Island, Washington, and the primary contractor is out to bid.

• A $950,000 alteration permit was issued for a tenant improvement for PacifiCorp on the 18th floor of the Lloyd Tower building at 825 N.E. Multnomah St. The applicant is Heidi Payne of Bainbridge Design, the contractor is Deacon Construction, and the owner is PacifiCorp.

• A $2,000,000 mechanical alteration permit was issued for a basement chiller replacement in the basement of Keller Auditorium at 222 S.W. Clay St. The applicant is Nancy Strening of Metro, the contractor is Hydro-Temp Mechanical, and the owner is the city of Portland.

• A $700,000 multiple dwellings/single lot improvement permit was issued for site improvements to include grading, landscaping, a private drive and utilities at 6431 N. Montana Ave. The applicant is Ryan Pickrel of Faster Permits, and the contractor and owner is K&C Custom Homes.

• An $800,000 alteration permit is under review for a pain clinic tenant improvement on a Kaiser Permanente property at 3600 N. Interstate. The applicant is Robbin Gray of Clark/Kjos Architects, the contractor is Balfour Beatty Construction, and the owner is Kaiser Foundation Health Plan of the Northwest.

• A $1,600,000 alteration permit is under review for a tenant improvement for Holland & Knight at Suite 1800 of the Moda Tower at 601 S.W. Second Ave. The applicant is Eliza Balen of GBD Architects, the contractor is Russell Construction, and the owner is SVF Unico Portland II LLC.
