Building permits issued for Nov. 4-10

  • A $500,000 excavation and shoring permit was issued for an eight-story, 170-unit mixed-use building at 465 N.E. Davis St. The applicant is Ryan Miyahira of Ankrom Moisan Architects, the contractor is Fairfield Development LP of San Diego, and the owner is Fairfield NE Grand LLC, also of San Diego.
  • A $2,534,328 new construction permit was issued for a four-story, 140-unit apartment building at 20 N.E. 60th Ave. The applicant is Zac Horton of Faster Permits, the contractor is Qualico Construction Services LLC, and the owner is Portland Housing Partners LLC.

Building permit intakes for Nov. 4-10

  • A $3,593,740 new construction permit is under review for a four-story, 34-unit apartment building at 3106 S.W. 12th Ave. The applicant is Stewart Straus of Stewart Gordon Straus Architect PC, the contractor is ACE Construction & Mechanical Inc., and the owner is West Hill Heights LLC.

Facility permits issued for Nov. 4-10

  • A $1,096,168 alteration permit was issued for demolition work on all floors of the former Gladys McCoy Building at 408 S.W. Fifth Ave. The former Multnomah County Health Department headquarters is being renamed the J.K. Gill Building by new owners Urban Renaissance Group and Gaw Capital USA. The applicant is Nicole Holt of SERA Architects, the contractor is Fortis Construction, and the owner is 408 5th Ave Portland Propco LLC.
  • An $800,000 alteration permit was issued for a pain clinic tenant improvement on a Kaiser Permanente property at 3600 N. Interstate Ave. The applicant is Robbin Gray of Clark/Kjos Architects, the contractor is Balfour Beatty Construction, and the owner is Kaiser Foundation Health Plan of the Northwest.
  • A $588,000 alteration permit was issued for a tenant improvement – including office space and minor warehouse improvements – for Gateway Express at 6650 N.E. Mount St. Helens Ave. The applicant is Ben Mounce of Mackenzie, the contractor is Perlo Construction, and the owner is the Port of Portland.

Facility permit intakes for Nov. 4-10

  • A $1,000,000 alteration permit is under review for landlord work on levels P1 through 3 of a Brewery Blocks building at 1125 N.W. Couch St. The applicant is Lindsey Newman of GBD Architects, the contractor is Lease Crutcher Lewis, and the owner is SPF Brewery Blocks LLC. A $450,000 mechanical alteration permit is also sought for the project; the primary contractor is out to bid.
