Building permits issued for Dec. 23-29

• A $4.1 million alteration permit was issued for an existing tenant to expand at 18201 N.E. Portal Way, Suite 106. Work includes demolition of interior walls to convert existing warehouse space to freezer use. The applicant is Dan Bercot of Arco Murray National Construction Co. in St. Louis, Missouri. The owner is DGI Portland LLC and the contractor is Arco Murray.

• A $7 million new construction permit was issued for a five-story apartment building at 4750 N. Albina Ave. with 55 units. The applicant is Marissa Brown of Emerick Architects, the owner is ABN Development Co. LLC and the contractor is Kevin Merriman of J.R. Abbott Construction Inc. of Seattle.

Building permit intakes for Dec. 23-29

• A $700,000 permit is under review for a new roof and associated seismic upgrade at 68 S.W. Miles St. Work includes demolition of bathrooms and a mezzanine to create new consolidated accessible bathrooms and offices. The applicant is Aram Irwin of Aram Irwin Historic Home Design, the owner is the city of Portland and the contractor is RR Chandler LLC.

• A $2.94 million permit is under review for shell-only construction at 226 S.E. Madison St., including renovation of the basement, main floor, rooftop balcony and skylights, and associated site work. The applicant is Zac Horton of Faster Permits, the owner is 210 S.E. Madison OZ LLC and the contractor is Truebeck Construction Inc. of San Mateo, California.

• A $2.18 million permit is under review for a four-story apartment building with 39 units at 308 N.E. Dekum St. The applicant is Brett Schultz Architect, the owner is Dekum Properties LLC and the contractor is Team Construction LLC of Vancouver, Washington.

• Two permits valued at $717,400 each are under review for two three-story, 14-unit buildings at 6814 N. Greenwich Ave. The applicant is Casey McGuirl of McGuirl Designs & Architecture, the owner is Greenwich Lofts LLC and the primary contractor is to bid.

• A new construction permit valued at $830,000 is under review for a three-story apartment building with 14 units at 7760 N. Montana Ave. The applicant is Casey McGuirl of McGuirl Designs & Architecture, the owner is Montana Kenton Holdings LLC and the primary contractor is to bid.

• A new construction permit valued at $917,600 is under review for a three-story apartment building with 16 units at 7750 N. Montana Ave. The applicant is Casey McGuirl of McGuirl Designs & Architecture, the owner is Montana Kenton Holdings LLC and the primary contractor is to bid.

• A $1.34 million new construction permit is under review for a three-story, 19-unit mixed-use building at 2923 S.E. Division St. The applicant is Dan Williams of Faster Permits, the owners are James and Ashley Kern and the contractor is VWR Development LLC.

• Permits valued at $1.73 million are under review for two separate two-story apartment buildings with nine units each at 8037 N. Jersey St. The owners are Sam and Gordana Sarich, and the contractor is Sam Sarich Construction Co.

• Four new construction permits with a total value of $2.66 million are under review at 11829 S.E. Holgate Blvd. Three of the permits are valued at $789,564 each for construction of three-story, six-unit apartment buildings. Another permit for $294,115 is for construction of a two-story building with bike storage and a meeting room. The applicant for the permits is Ken Yu of Kaly Construction Design, the owner is Chun Kwong and the contractor is Kenneth Kwong of Sunstone Homes Inc.

• A $630,000 new construction permit is under review for a two-story, eight-unit apartment building at 3253 S.E. 122nd Ave. with a detached 256-square-foot enclosure for trash and bike storage and associated site work. The applicant is Bayard Mentrum of Mentrum Architecture of Salem, the owners are Janiss and Tuan Ran of Happy Valley and the contractor is Damir Karin of DK Homes LLC.

• A $1.8 million new construction permit is under review for a three-story, 15-unit apartment building at 3775 S.E. Clay St. The applicant is Ryan Pickrel of Faster Permits, while the owner and contractor is Structure Redevelopment LLC of Clackamas.

• An $819,000 alteration permit is under review for an electrophysiology lab at 3181 S.W. Sam Jackson Park Road for Oregon Health & Science University. The applicant is Avery Asato of Ankrom Moisan Architects, the owner is the Oregon State Board of Higher Education and the contractor is Fortis Construction Inc.

• A $1.1 million permit is under review for exterior and interior tenant improvements at 8975 N.E. Airport Way. Work includes new pavement, curbs and parking lot striping, landscaping, fencing and a new roof. The applicant is Mike Coyle of Faster Permits, the owner is the Port of Portland and the contractor is Hoffman Skanska LLC of Parsipppany, N.J.
