Building permits issued for Jan. 6-12, 2020

  • A $750,000 alteration permit was issued for the renovation of a Ron Tonkin Mazda dealership at 750 S.E. 122nd Ave. The project will include an upgrade of exterior facades, an interior remodel and landscaping. The applicant is Erin Upham of Axis Design Group, the contractor is Walen Construction, and the owner is Toma Properties LLC.
  • Four new construction permits with a combined value of $530,040 were issued on deferred submittal for glass canopies, storefront glazing, a sliding door and anchor clips on the Canvas at Press Blocks building at 1750 S.W. Yamhill St. The applicant is Chris Kline of contractor Lease Crutcher Lewis, and the owner is URG OPB 17th Avenue LLC of Seattle.

Building permit intakes for Jan. 6-12, 2020

  • A $550,000 alteration permit is under review for a renovation to an existing three-story building at 1200 S.W. Main St. The applicant is Andrea Wallace of Ink:Built Design, the contractor is Bartel Contracting Inc., and the owners are GBSK&G LLC and Twelve Hundred Main LLC.
  • An $839,000 alteration permit is under review for a tenant improvement to create two tenant spaces and establish occupancy in the south space of a building at 1835 N.E. 33rd Ave. The applicant is Terri Douglas of Detroit-based Norr, the owner is MJH Land LLC of Cincinnati, and the primary contractor is out to bid.
  • A $740,335 alteration permit is under review for installation of interior storage racks and gondola shelving in an existing warehouse building at 5015 N.W. Front Ave. The applicant is Adrienne Lopez of Covina, California-based Seizmic Inc., the owner is Lit Finance III LLC of Dallas, Texas, and the primary contractor is out to bid.
  • A $637,000 new construction permit is under review for a new two-story building with a bar and a rooftop deck at 2216 S.E. 50th Ave. The applicant is Ben Hofford of Design Department Architecture, the owner is RHP LLC, and the primary contractor is out to bid.

Facility permits issued for Jan. 6-12, 2020

  • A $10,600,000 alteration permit was issued for a tenant improvement to suit Google on the fourth and fifth floors of the Meier & Frank Building at 555 S.W. Morrison St. The work will include installation of a new stairway between the floors. The applicant is Stephanie Amend of SERA Architects, the contractor is Swinerton Builders of San Francisco, and the owner is EOSII/SB Portland LLC of Newport Beach, California.

Facility permit intakes for Jan. 6-12, 2020

  • A $500,000 alteration permit is under review for a voluntary seismic upgrade to the Leftbank building at 240 N. Broadway. The applicant is Mike Coyle of Faster Permits, the contractor is Lorentz Bruun Co. Inc., and the owner is LB Owner LLC.
  • A $550,000 alteration permit is under review for a tenant improvement for a Jamba smoothie restaurant on Concourse E of Portland International Airport at 7000 N.E. Airport Way. The applicant is Katie Ferkel of St. Louis-based Oculus Inc., the owner is Port of Portland, and the primary contractor is out to bid. A $120,000 mechanical alteration permit is also under review for the project; the primary contractor is out to bid.
