Building permits issued for Jan. 27-Feb. 2, 2020

  • A $1.34 million addition permit was issued for an exterior wall panel and wall panel supports at 7000 N.E. Airport Way. The applicant is Grant Haertel of Streimer Sheet Metal, the owner is the Port of Portland and the contractor is James Aarhus of Skanska USA Building Inc.
  • A $999,999 alteration permit was issued for a tenant improvement and change of occupancy at 555 N.W. 12th Ave. The applicant is Laurie Simpson of Connect Architecture and the owners are Leonard and Laura Di Gregorio of Portland.
  • A $12.04 million new construction permit was issued for Lincoln High School, at 1600 S.W. Salmon St. Work includes new foundations, slab on grade and under-slab utilities for the six-story, 291,000-square foot school. The applicant is Miguel Hidalgo of Bora Architects Inc., the owner is School District No. 1 and the contractor is Hoffman Construction Co. of Oregon.
  • An $835,780 new construction permit was issued for a new foundation and anchorage for four above-ground fuel tanks at 5003 N. Columbia Blvd. The applicant is Jana Gerow of the city of Portland, the owner is the city of Portland and the contractor is Anderson Environmental Contracting LLC of Kelso, Washington.

Building permit intakes for Jan. 27-Feb. 2, 2020

  • A $729,235 alteration permit is under review for a tenant improvement at 5308 N.E. Irving St. Work includes a new kitchen and kitchenette, new showers in existing bathrooms, partition walls, roof and windows. The applicant is Mike Coyle of Faster Permits, the owner is DEG Squared LLC of Portland and the contractor is Jean-Pierre Veillet of Siteworks Inc.
  • A $675,000 new construction permit is under review for a two-story, five-unit apartment building at 2011 N.E. 47th Ave. The applicant is Bob Schatz of Bob Schatz Architect, the owner is Right Bauer LLC of Portland and the primary contractor is to bid.
  • A $1.13 million new construction permit is under review for a 19-unit apartment building and associated site work at 5145 S.E. McLoughlin Blvd. No on-site parking is proposed. A mechanical permit will be considered separately. The applicant is Steve Fosler of Fosler Portland Architecture LLC, the owner is RMAK Capital Group LLC of Portland and the primary contractor is to bid.
  • A $1.4 million new construction permit is under review for a storage project with buckling restrained bracing at 7200 N.E. Airport Way. Nick Woodard of JE Dunn Construction is the applicant, the Port of Portland is the owner and JE Dunn is the contractor.
  • An $853,000 new construction permit is under review for a truck charging station and site work at 4715 N. Lagoon Ave. The applicant is Breanne Mocaby of Black & Veatch in Lake Oswego, the owner is Daimler Trucks North America LLC and the primary contractor is to bid.

Facility permits issued for Jan. 27-Feb. 2, 2020

  • An $819,000 alteration permit was issued at 3181 S.W. Sam Jackson Park Road for an electrophysiology lab on the 11th floor involving demolition of existing structures and construction of new walls for an altered layout in the locker room and lab. Work will include a ceiling, flooring finishes, plumbing and electrical elements. The applicant is Avery Asato of Ankrom Moisan Architects, the owner is the Oregon State Board of Higher Education and the contractor is Fortis Construction Inc.
  • An $827,200 alteration permit was issued at 1 S.W. Columbia St. for a tenant improvement. Work includes demolishing walls and building new ones to create offices, conference rooms, a mail room and more. The applicant is Kim Conway of LRS Architects, the owner is Umpqua Plaza Property LLC of Portland and the contractor is Robert Todd Construction Inc. of Milwaukie.
  • A $600,000 alteration permit is under inspection for tenant improvements for Elephants Deli, at 127 S.W. Salmon St. The ground-floor tenant improvements include new walls to create a kitchen, a dishwashing area, storage space, a walk-in cooler and a serving area. The applicant is Pamela Deegan of Western Construction Services Inc. of Vancouver, Washington, and the contractor is Pat Brady of Western Construction.
  • A $75 million new construction permit was issued at 936 S.W. Washington St. for a concrete foundation, superstructure, concrete core, concrete floors for below-grade parking through the concrete roof structure and build out of the below-grade parking structure. The applicant is Jesse Emory of GBD Architects, the owner is Block 216 LLC of Portland and the contractor is Balfour Beatty Construction LLC of Goldsboro, N.C.

  • A $1 million alteration permit is under review for a Concourse E tenant at 7000 N.E. Airport Way. Work involves new walls to create a kitchen, dining area and more. The applicant is Ben Hufford of Design Department Architecture LLC, the owner is the Port of Portland and the contractor is James E. John Construction Co. Inc. of Vancouver, Washington.
  • A $1.2 million alteration permit is under review at 100 S.W. Market St. Work involves wall demolition and new walls for offices, conference rooms and more. The applicant is Anne Karel of Interior Architects PC, the owner is Park Square Owner LLC of San Francisco and the contractor is Fortis Construction Inc.
  • A $550,000 alteration permit is under review for new tenant spaces at 1107 N.E. Morrison St. Tenant improvements on the fourth and fifth floors include new ductwork, grilles, diffusers, heat pumps, exhaust fans and more.
