Building permits issued for Feb. 10-16, 2020

  • A $7,100,000 addition permit was issued on deferred submittal for curtainwalls on the Concourse E extension at Portland International Airport, at 7000 N.E. Airport Way. The applicant is Tom Sherry of Culver Glass, the contractor is Skanska USA Building, and the owner is the Port of Portland.
  • Four alteration permits with a combined value of $760,000 were issued for replacement of roofing, siding, windows and sliding glass doors on condominium buildings in the RiverPlace area at Southwest Montgomery Street and Harbor Way. The applicant is Nick Piatkoff of contractor I&E Construction, and the owner is Riverplace Condominium No 1 Owners Association.
  • A $1,000,000 new construction permit was finalized on deferred submittal for concrete shop drawings and calculations for a multifamily building at 1378 N.W. 18th Ave. A $200,000 permit issued on deferred submittal for steel stairs was also issued for the project. The applicant is Michael Johnson of Holland Partner Group, the contractor is Holland Construction Inc., and the owner is Keller Holland Pettygrove Investors LLC.
  • A $1,164,327 new construction permit was issued for a new single-story assembly building at 11025 N.E. Sandy Blvd. The applicant is Daniel Bramske of EMA Architecture, the contractor is Joe Hughes Construction, and the owner is Morrison Child & Family Services.
  • Two new construction permits with a combined value of $860,000 were issued on deferred submittal for fiberglass windows and doors on the District Office building at 555 S.E. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. The applicants are Sarah Stein and Jeremy Hart of contractor Andersen Construction, and the owner is PMC Building LLC.
  • A $500,000 new construction permit was issued for shoring and a retaining wall at 1720 S.W. Naito Parkway to accommodate horizontal drilling for the Portland Water Bureau’s Willamette River Crossing water utility line project. The applicant is Nolan Furey of project contractor James W. Fowler Co., and the owner is Portland Parks & Recreation.
  • A $605,112 new construction permit was issued on deferred submittal for applied fireproofing on the Canvas at Press Blocks building at 1750 S.W. Yamhill St. The applicant is Bryce Mitchell, the contractor is Lease Crutcher Lewis, and the owner is URG OPB 17th Avenue LLC.

  • A $1,200,000 alteration permit is under review for removal and replacement of siding and soffit panels at 3310 S.W. U.S. Veterans Hospital Road – Unit PP. The applicant is Eric Wilson of SRG Partnership, the contractor is Hoffman Construction Co., and the owner is the Oregon State Board of Higher Education.
  • A $1,056,000 new construction permit is under review for a new three-story, 12-unit multifamily building at 8042 N. Willamette Blvd. The applicant is Gene Bolante of Studio 3 Architecture, the contractor is BTS Homes Inc., and the owner is Town Developments Inc.
  • A $10,398,932 new construction permit is under review for a new 56-unit apartment building at the northeast corner of Northeast 42nd Avenue and Going Street. The applicant is Craig Reigelnegg of Carleton Hart Architecture, the owner is CDP Developers LLC, and the primary contractor is out to bid.
  • A $2,140,000 new construction permit is under review for a three-story hotel with ground-floor office and laundry space at 456 N.E. Beech St. The applicant is Bob Schatz of Allusa Architecture, and the contractor and owner is Firenze Development Inc.
  • Two new construction permits with a combined value of 574,538 are under review for a new convenience store and fuel canopy structure at 5524 S.E. 82nd Ave. The applicant is Caryl Pinner of Kent, Washington-based Barghausen Consulting Engineers, and the owner is PacWest Energy LLC of Meridian, Idaho; the primary contractor is out to bid.

  • A $2,900,000 alteration permit was issued for landlord work on the plaza level of the Standard Insurance Center at 900 S.W. Fifth Ave. The applicant is Whit Middlecoff of GBD Architects, the contractor is Walsh Construction Co., and the owner is Standard Insurance Company.
  • A $3,965,870 alteration permit was issued for landlord work on floors one through eight of Multnomah County Justice Center building at 1120 S.W. Third Ave. The applicant is John Longtin of Accurate Electric Unlimited, the contractor is Skyline Construction Services, and the owner is Multnomah County.
  • A $700,000 mechanical alteration permit was issued for HVAC improvements to the Metro Regional Center building at 600 N.E. Grand Ave. The applicant is Ryan Poteet of contractor Hunter Davisson Inc., and the owner is Metro.

Facility permit intakes for Feb. 10-16, 2020

  • A $4,250,000 alteration permit is under review for a tenant improvement for Apple at Harsch Investment Properties’ 7 SE Stark building at 7 S.E. Stark St. The work will create open office space on the buildings seventh floor and part of the eighth floor. The applicant is Brent Fairbairn of Gensler, the contractor is Swinerton Builders, and the owner is 87 Stark Street LLC. A $400,000 mechanical alteration permit is also under review for the project; the primary contractor is out to bid.
  • A $2,100,000 alteration permit is under review for a hot water heat exchanger tenant improvement project on multiple floors of the OHSU Hospital building at 3181 S.W Sam Jackson Park Road, Building OHS. The applicant is Marus Morgan of PKA Architects, the contractor is Skanska USA Building, and the owner is the Oregon State Board of Higher Education. A $520,000 mechanical alteration permit is also under review for the project; the primary contractor is out to bid.
