Shannon & Wilson has promoted Rex Whistler, who works in its Portland office, to senior geological engineer. He joined the firm in 2014 and has used his expertise in geological site characterization, rock slope stability analysis, rock fall analysis, slope stability analysis and liquefaction analysis for multiple rockslides with Union Pacific Railroad and the Katka siding rock slope stabilization with BNSF Railway.
