Building permits issued for Feb. 17-23, 2020

  • None for any project greater than $500,000

Building permit intakes for Feb. 17-23, 2020

  • Two addition permits with a combined value of $950,000 are under review for work on the Legacy West project at Legacy Emanuel Medical Center, at 2835 N. Kerby Ave. A $200,000 permit is sought via deferred submittal for a channel glass system; the applicant is Rilyn Lewchuk of contractor Andersen Construction. A $750,000 permit is sought via deferred submittal for seismic attachment of electrical equipment; the applicant is Sandi Dickston of EC Electric.
  • A $1,405,000 new construction permit is under review for a four-story mixed-use building with ground-floor retail space and 18 apartments at 2475 S.E. 30th Ave. The applicant is Dan Williams of Faster Permits, the contractor is VWR Development LLC, and the owners are Marcia Garland and David Moeser.
  • A $12,594,210 new construction permit is under review for the Division 28 condominium project at 2865 S.E. Division St. The four-story, 46,000-square-foot building will hold 11 residential units, ground-floor restaurant space and 20 below-grade parking spaces. The applicant is Vijayeta Davda of Hacker, the contractor is Siteworks Inc., and the owner is Division 28 LLC of Los Angeles.
  • A $1,326,678 new construction permit is under review for a new three-story mixed-use building at 410 N.E. Failing St. The building’s main floor will include retail space and two residential units, and the upper floors will contain a total of 16 apartment units. The applicant is Dan Williams of Faster Permits, the contractor is VWR Development LLC, and the owner is MLK Failing 4 LLC.

Facility permits issued for Feb. 17-23, 2020

  • A $1,209,241 alteration permit was issued for a tenant improvement for the Oregon Department of Justice building at the Park Square property at 100 S.W. Market St. The applicant is Anne Karel of Interior Architects, the contractor is Fortis Construction, and the owner is Park Square Owner LLC of San Francisco.
  • A $500,000 alteration permit was issued for landlord work on the fourth floor of a Brewery Blocks building at 1125 N.W. Couch St. The applicant is Lindsey Newman of GBD Architects, the contractor is Lease Crutcher Lewis, and the owner is SPF Brewery Blocks LLC. A $500,000 mechanical alteration permit was also issued for the project; the contractor is Streimer Sheet Metal Works.
  • A $1,537,906 alteration permit was issued for a tenant improvement for Tonkon Torp on floors 14-16 of the Pioneer Tower building at 888 S.W. Fifth Ave. The applicant is Mark Booth of ZGF Architects, the contractor is Swinerton Builders, and the owner is LIPT SW Fifth Ave LLC of Chicago.
  • A $650,000 alteration permit was issued for a tenant improvement for Saint Laurent at Pioneer Place, 700 S.W. Fifth Ave. The applicant is Mike Coyle of Faster Permits, the contractor is Trainor Commercial Construction Inc. of San Rafael, California, and the owner is Pioneer Place LLC of Chicago.
  • A $4,350,000 new construction permit was issued for excavation and shoring for the 25-story 11W tower at 1116 S.W. Washington St. The building will contain four levels of below-grade parking. The applicant is Robert Snyder of ZGF Architects, the contractor is Turner Construction Co., and the owner is 11W QOZB LLC.

Facility permit intakes for Feb. 17-23, 2020

  • A $1,400,000 new construction permit is sought as a revision to the structural permit of the Block 216 tower at 936 S.W. Washington St. The revision includes infill of former openings in a floor to add floor area to Level 02M, minor modification of slab openings to accommodate mechanical systems for Level 02M, and reduction in freight elevator service to Level 03. The applicant is Jesse Emory of GBD Architects, the contractor is Balfour Beatty Construction, and the owner is Block 216 LLC.
  • Two land use review condition compliance permits with a combined value of $750,080 are under review for work on the University of Portland’s Franz River Campus, a 35-acre waterfront property purchased by the school in 2008. A $369,500 permit is for plant irrigation and mitigation plantings, and a $380,580 permit is for installation of greenway asphalt trail, split-rail wood fencing, plant irrigation and mitigation plantings. The applicant is Jeff Bringenberg of Soderstrom Architects, the contractor is Lease Crutcher Lewis, and the owner is the University of Portland.
