Building permits issued for March 23-29, 2020

• A $1,486,152 alteration permit was issued for site improvements to Creston Park at 4454 S.E. Powell Blvd. The project will include renovation of a playground, a parking lot, new asphalt and concrete pedestrian pathways, as well as demolition of a concrete wading pool. The applicant is Gary Datka of Portland Parks & Recreation, the contractor is Faison Construction, and the owner is the city of Portland.

• Five alteration permits with a combined value of $1,150,500 were issued on deferred submittal for temporary structures for pedestrian access and waiting areas at Concourse C at Portland International Airport, 7000 N.E. Airport Way. The applicant is Chad Pulliam of contractor Hoffman Skanska LLC, and the owner is the Port of Portland.

• A $940,080 new construction permit is under inspection for a three-story, 14-unit apartment building at 1350 N. Watts St. The applicant is Nathan Arnold of Faster Permits, the contractor is Tieton Homes LLC, and the owner is 1336 N Watts Apartments LLC.

• A $2,300,000 new construction permit was issued on deferred submittal for metal panels and attachments to portions of the 4th and Montgomery building at 1810 S.W. Fifth Ave. The applicant is Taylor Doolen of contractor Andersen Construction, and the owner is Portland State University.

• A $15,336,579 new construction permit is under inspection for a new concrete tilt-up building on the former Portland Meadows racetrack site at 9475 N. Horseshoe Ave. The applicant is Daniel Novick of Mackenzie, the contractor is Perlo Construction, and the owner is Denver-based Prologis LP.

Facility permits issued for March 23-29, 2020

• Two alteration permits with a combined value of $584,000 were issued for main entry improvements to Reynolds School District campuses, including a $327,000 permit for Margaret Scott School at 14700 N.E. Sacramento St. and a $257,000 permit for Glenfair School at 15300 N.E. Glisan St. The applicant is Rachel Hopper of owner Reynolds School District, and the owner is Bremik Construction.

• A $750,000 alteration permit was issued for a tenant improvement for Act-On on the 15th and 16th floors of the Bank of America Financial Center building at 121 S.W. Morrison St. The applicant is Aaron Benson of GBD Architects, the contractor is Balfour Beatty Construction, and the owner is Terrace Tower USA – Portland Inc.

Facility permit intakes for March 23-29, 2020

• Three building alteration permits with a combined value of $780,000 are under review for modifications to buildings at Oregon Health & Science University; the Tier 1 priority permits are sought for emergency COVID-19 related work.

A $500,000 alteration permit and a $150,000 mechanical alteration permit are sought for modifications to access and staging of an existing auditorium at the OHSU Hospital building at 3181 S.W. Sam Jackson Park Road. The auditorium is to be used as a surge area for patient intake, triage, waiting, and treatment.

A second permit valued at $130,000 is sought for modifications to an existing diagnostics laboratory at the Child Development & Rehabilitation Center at 707 S.W. Gaines St. and will create a new extraction room.

The applicant is Anthony Moreschi of OHSU, and the owner is the Oregon State Board of Higher Education. The contractor for the auditorium project is Fortis Construction, and the mechanical contractor is Total Mechanical Inc. No contractor is listed for the laboratory project.

• A $1 permit was issued for another COVID-19 related Tier 1 priority project at Legacy Emanuel Medical Center, at 2801 N. Gantenbein Ave., that will include installation of tents in a parking lot for hospital admission and discharge.
