A Type II adjustment procedure is sought for a 138-unit affordable housing building at 11518 S.E. Division St. The project will serve households at 30 percent and 60 percent of area median income, and will consist of studios, one-bedroom units, two-bedroom units and three-bedroom units ranging in size from 416 to 1,028 square feet. The development, by Related NW and Central City Concern, was one of nine affordable housing projects announced last year by the city of Portland and Multnomah County.The adjustment requested is to the standard for vehicular access through a setback. The applicants are Laurie Linville-Gregston of Ankrom Moisan Architects, Ryan Hood of Related NW, and Suzanne Zuniga of the Portland Housing Bureau, and the owners are Kyung and Eung Lee.
A Type II design review is sought for repair to an existing boathouse gangway connection and access platform for the Multnomah County River Patrol boathouse at 2220 N.W. Front Ave. The project will include removal of the existing concrete landing connection and access stairs, and replacement with a new elevated platform and installation of a new decorative metal fence to provide security for the boathouse. The applicant is Derek Kirschner of Multnomah County Facilities and Property Management, and the owner is Mcref Rivage LLC of Chicago.
A Type II greenway procedure is pending for placement of a clean sand and gravel cover over Dredge Material Management units eight and nine, at 5480 N.W. Front Ave. The post-dredge surface management work is to be conducted as required by the Portland Sediment Evaluation Team and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. The project area is located entirely within the Lower Willamette River, approximately 200 feet riverward of the ordinary high-water mark at that location. All work will be performed in and from the river with no disturbance of the greenway setback. The applicant is Edgar 鈥淭ed鈥 McCall of McCall Oil and Chemical Corporation, and the owner is Tanker Basin LLC.
