Building permits issued for April 6-12, 2020

• A $150,222,777 addition permit was issued for modernization of and addition to Madison High School at 2735 N.E. 82nd Ave. The applicant is Randall Heeb of Opsis Architecture, the contractor is Fortis Construction, and the owner is Portland Public Schools.

• A $500,000 new construction permit was issued on deferred submittal for post-tensioned concrete shop drawings and calculations on a multifamily building under construction at 15 N.W. Park Ave. The applicant is Alex Araujo, the contractor is Lennar Multifamily Builders LLC of Aliso Viejo, California, and the owner is LMC Burnside Holdings LLC of Seattle.

• Two new construction permits, each valued at $700,000, were issued for construction of waste management enclosures on the north and south sides of an existing ramp at Portland International Airport, 7000 N.E. Airport Way. The applicant is Mike Coyle of Faster Permits, the contractor is Hoffman Skanska LLC, and the owner is the Port of Portland.

Facility permits issued for April 6-12, 2020

• A $4,250,000 alteration permit was issued for a tenant improvement for Apple on the seventh floor and part of the eighth floor of the 7 SE Stark building at 7 S.E. Stark St. The work will create open office space, a reception area, and work, huddle, phone, conference, interview, parents’, serenity, break and copy rooms. The applicant is Brent Fairbairn of Gensler, the contractor is Swinerton Builders, and the owner is 87 Stark Street LLC. A $400,000 mechanical alteration permit was also issued for the project; the contractor is Hermanson Company LLP of Kent, Washington.

• A $1,400,000 new construction permit was issued as a revision to the structural permit of the Block 216 tower at 936 S.W. Washington St. The revision includes infill of former openings in a floor to add floor area to Level 02M, minor modification of slab openings to accommodate mechanical systems for the floor, and a reduction in freight elevator service to Level 03. The applicant is Jesse Emory of GBD Architects, the contractor is Balfour Beatty Construction, and the owner is Block 216 LLC.
