Building permits issued for April 20-26, 2020

• Two addition permits with a combined value of $2,581,600 were issued on deferred submittal for work on the Madison High School modernization project at 2735 N.E. 82nd Ave. One permit, valued at $1,510,000, is for suspended ceilings engineering, and another permit, valued at $1,071,600, is for interior cold-formed metal framing. The applicant is Austin Armstrong of contractor Fortis Construction, and the owner is Portland Public Schools.

• Two addition permits with a combined value of $1,042,000 were issued on deferred submittal for work on the Legacy West project at Legacy Emanuel Medical Center, at 2835 N. Kerby Ave. One permit, valued at $942,000, is for terra cotta wall panels, and another permit, valued at $100,000, is for grilles and screens. The applicant is Rilyn Lewchuk of contractor Andersen Construction, and the owner is Legacy Emanuel Hospital & Health Center.

• Three new construction permits with a combined value of $625,000 were issued on deferred submittal for a TriMet administrative/operations building at 9800 S.E. Powell Blvd. One permit, valued at $150,000, is for stairs; another permit, valued at $425,000, is for metal wall panel attachment; and a third, valued at $50,000, is for fall protection. The applicant is Griffin Chard of contractor JE Dunn Construction Co., and the owner is TriMet.

• Two new construction permits with a combined value of $680,000 were issued on deferred submittal for work on the Kellogg Middle School project at 3400 S.E. 69th Ave. One permit, valued at $200,000, is for suspended ceilings and bracing, and another permit, valued at $480,000, is for fiber cement panel cladding. The applicant is Anna Todd of contractor Todd Construction, and the owner is Portland Public Schools.

• A $20,000,000 alteration permit is under review for a tenant improvement on the upper three floors of the Parking Additions and Consolidated Rental Car (PACR) facility at Portland International Airport, at 7150 N.E. Airport Way. The applicant is Mike Coyle of Faster Permits, the contractor is JE Dunn Construction, and the owner is the Port of Portland.

• A $3,836,083 new construction permit is under review for a five-story, 46-unit multifamily building at 3178 S.W. 12th Ave. The permit will replace a new construction permit issued earlier this year for a five-story, 24-unit building at the site. The applicant is Gabe Headrick of Steelhead Architecture, and the owner is SWS 12th Avenue Apartments LLC of Tucson, Arizona. No contractor is listed for the project.

• A $648,425 new construction permit submitted on deferred submittal is under review for metal joists on a storage building at 15450 N.E. Airport Way. The applicant is Hans Howard of contractor Sierra Construction Co., and the owner is Prologis LP of Denver.

• A $545,000 alteration permit was issued for a tenant improvement for the Pearl District location of Screen Door restaurant in a Brewery Blocks building at 1125 N.W. Couch St. The applicant is Ben Hufford of Design Department Architecture, the contractor is Riverwood Construction, and the owner is SPF Brewery Blocks LLC.

• A $585,000 alteration permit was issued for landlord work in Suite 100 of an office building at 1631 N.W. Thurman St., including demolition and new walls for open office space.
