Building permits issued for April 27-May 3, 2020

• A $738,000 alteration permit was issued for a partial reroof and insulation installation at Dishman Community Center, at 77 N.E. Knott St. The applicant is Jill Hutchinson of Portland Parks & Recreation, the contractor is Carlson Roofing Company, and the owner is the city of Portland.

• A $1,162,330 new construction permit is under inspection for a new three-story, 15-unit apartment building at 6430 N. Montana Ave. The applicant is Kimberly Culver, the contractor is Aria Construction, and the owner is 6416 Montana LLC.

• A $1,045,000 new construction permit was issued on deferred submittal for a metal wall panel cladding system on Kellogg Middle School at 3400 S.E. 69th Ave. The applicant is Anna Todd of contractor Todd Construction, and the owner is Portland Public Schools.

Building permit intakes for April 27-May 3, 2020

• A $720,424 new construction permit was issued on deferred submittal for post-tensioned slab work on the Alta Art Tower building at 1510 S.W. Alder St. The applicant is Mike Coyle of Faster Permits, the contractor is Andersen Construction Co., and the owner is REEP-WP Art Tower JV LLC.

• Eight new construction permits with a combined value of $1,850,000 are under review for the installation of eight pre-engineered buildings as part of the terminal core expansion project at Portland International Airport, at 7000 N.E. Airport Way. Six of the buildings will serve as temporary airline offices in front of the airport’s terminal, and two will house contractor offices. The applicant is Mike Coyle of Faster Permits, the contractor is Hoffman Skanska LLC, and the owner is the Port of Portland.

Facility permits issued for April 27-May 3, 2020

• A $1,019,000 alteration permit was issued for a lobby and bike room tenant improvement at XPO Logistics’ office at 2055 N.W. Savier St. The applicant is Eliza Balen of GBD Architects, the contractor is Fortis Construction, and the owner is UCP 2055 NW Savier LLC.

• A $682,008 alteration permit was issued for a tenant improvement for AARP on the 14th floor of the Broadway Tower at 1455 S.W. Broadway. The applicant is Breanna Hillis of GBD Architects, the contractor is San Mateo, California-based Truebeck Construction Inc., and the owner is BDC/SW Broadway LLC.

Facility permit intakes for April 27-May 3, 2020

• An $8,853,329 alteration permit is under review for a tenant improvement for Google on the fourth and fifth floors of the Meier & Frank Building at 555 S.W. Morrison St. In addition to open office space, the work will create a nap room, music rooms, a maker space and a game room. The applicant is Stephanie Amend of SERA Architects, the contractor is Swinerton Builders, and the owner is EOSII/SB Portland LLC of Newport Beach, California. A $1,379,638 mechanical alteration permit is also under review for the project; the contractor is Alliant Systems.

• Multiple alteration permits are under review for improvements to Portland Public Schools campuses, including: a $2,787,651 alteration permit for a remodel and partial reroof of the Harrison Park School at 2225 S.E. 87th Ave.; a $1,556,877 alteration permit for a remodel and partial reroof of Woodlawn Elementary School at 7200 N.E. 11th Ave.; a $3,786,495 alteration permit for a remodel and partial reroof of Ockley Green Middle School at 1315 N. Ainsworth St.; and a $500,000 alteration permit for a project to combine classrooms and install a new partition wall at Roosevelt High School, at 6941 N. Central St. The applicant is Nicholas Sukkau of owner Portland Public Schools, and the primary contractor is out to bid.

• A $3,285,515 alteration permit is under review for Kaiser on the third floor of the Kaiser Permanente Building at 500 N.E. Multnomah St. The work will include a voluntary structural enhancement, new demising walls to create office space and remodel of common area bathrooms. The applicant is Anne Karel of Interior Architects PC, the contractor is Fortis Construction, and the owner is Kaiser Foundation Health Plan of the Northwest. A $495,000 mechanical alteration permit is also under review for the project; the primary contractor is out to bid.

• A $3,100,000 alteration permit is under review for a tenant improvement for Target on the first floor and the main floor of the Galleria building at 600 S.W. 10th Ave. The work will include new walls to create a Starbucks area, exchange return area, back-room space, and pharmacy area. The applicant is Trish Ferhweh of Seattle-based MG2, the contractor is Skanska USA Building, and the owner is UPG Galleria Property Owner LLC, also of Seattle. A $325,000 mechanical alteration permit is also under review for the project; the primary contractor is out to bid.

• A $1,350,000 alteration permit is under review for Steelhead Surgical on three floors of the Custom Blocks building at 1355 S.E. 10th Ave. The work will create lab, office, storage and inventory space. The applicant is Emma Survis of Mackenzie, the contractor is R&H Construction, and the owner is Premium Property – CSNS LLC.

• A $2,750,277 mechanical alteration permit is under review for an HVAC tenant improvement to the Holladay Annex campus at 7100 S.E. Division St. The applicant is Nicholas Sukkau of owner Portland Public Schools, and the contractor is General Sheet Metal Works Inc.
