Alex Baumann, a staff engineer in GRI鈥檚 office in Vancouver, Washington, has been named secretary for the Southwest Washington branch of ASCE鈥檚 Oregon Section. He publishes weekly newsletters that include engineering events for professional development opportunities in the Portland and Vancouver areas as well as job postings for the Vancouver area. Baumann joined GRI as a member of the geotechnical engineering staff in 2015. He has a bachelor鈥檚 degree in civil engineering and a master鈥檚 degree in geotechnical engineering from Portland State University.
