Building permits issued for June 15-21, 2020

  • A $2,092,254 new construction permit was issued for a new four-story, 36-unit apartment building with two ground-floor tenant spaces at 5150 N. Lombard St. The applicant is Gene Bolante of Studio 3 Architecture, the contractor is WDC Construction, and the owner is Bluffs PDX LLC.
  • A $1,680,000 new construction permit is under inspection for a three-story, 28-unit apartment building at 5111 S.E. Woodstock Blvd. The applicant is Mark Lisac of contractor Lisac Brothers Construction Inc., and the owner is MLBL LLC.

Building permit intakes for June 15-21, 2020

  • A $2,750,705 alteration permit is under review for the interior remodel of an existing warehouse building and office space at 4421 N.E. Columbia Blvd. The space is being converted to a bus maintenance and storage facility for TriMet. The applicant is Mark Young of Rowell Brokaw, the owners are Madrona Columbia LLC, SZ Cat LLC and VW Cat LLC, and the primary contractor is out to bid.
  • Two new construction permits with a combined value of $1,860,000 are under review for a pair of three-story, 13-unit apartment buildings at 5736 N. Greeley Ave. The applicant is Ryan Pickrel of Faster Permits, the contractor is Elliott Properties Inc., and the owner is Seventh & Greeley Investments LLC of Anacortes, Washington.

Facility permits issued for June 15-21, 2020

  • A $1,600,000 alteration permit was issued for a tenant improvement for CVS Pharmacy on the basement, first and second floors of the American Bank Building at 621 S.W. Morrison St. The work will include new walls to create an elevator and stairs, office and storage area in the basement, and retail space on the first and second floors. The applicant is Terri Douglas of NORR’s Detroit office, the contractor is James E. John Construction, and the owner is LVA4 Portland ABB LLC. A $100,000 mechanical alteration permit was also issued for the project; the contractor is Tri Tech Heating Inc.
  • A $3,822,100 alteration permit was issued for a tenant improvement for New Relic on the 23rd floor of the U.S. Bancorp Tower at 111 S.W. Fifth Ave. The applicant is Anne Karel of Interior Architects PC, the contractor is Fortis Construction, and the owner is Association of Unit Owners of One Eleven Tower Condo. A $467,500 mechanical alteration permit was also issued for the project; the contractor is Alliant Systems.
  • A $702,754 alteration permit was issued for an office tenant improvement on the first floor of the Portland Building at 1120 S.W. Fifth Ave. The applicant is Erica Ceder of DLR Group, the contractor is Balfour Beatty Construction, and the owner is the city of Portland. A $173,446 mechanical alteration permit was also issued for the project; the contractor is Temp Control Mechanical.
  • A $540,000 alteration permit is under inspection for landlord work for future tenants in suites 200 and 500 of an office building at 331 S.W. Sixth Ave. The applicant is Michael Roberts of LRS Architects, the contractor is Johnson Project Solutions Inc., and the owner is 309 SW 6th Ave Property LLC of El Segundo, California.
  • A $3,012,675 alteration permit was issued for Ampere on the seventh and eighth floors of the Tanner Point building at 1250 N.W. Ninth Ave. The work will include new stairs connecting the two floors, as well as new demising walls to create open office space. The applicant is Josh Orona of ZGF Architects, the contractor is Balfour Beatty Construction, and the owner is CSHV 9North LLC of Addison, Texas. A $463,200 mechanical alteration permit was also issued for the project; the contractor is MacDonald-Miller Facility Solutions Inc.
