The city of Portland has requested early assistance to improve and expand Parklane Park, a 5-acre park at 15309 S.E. Main St., to include 20 adjacent acres. The proposed improvements include a water play feature, tennis and basketball courts, two synthetic turf soccer fields and one grass soccer field, a skate park, picnic areas and off-leash dog areas. Space has been reserved on the site for a potential future aquatic center, but it is not proposed as part of this project. The applicants are Elizabeth Decker with JET Planning and Andrea Kuns of Walker Macy.
