Building permits issued for Aug. 10-16, 2020

  • A $650,000 permit was issued for fencing and backstops at Madison High School, at 2735 N.E. 82nd Ave. The applicant is Dane Armand of Fortis Construction Inc., the contractor is Fortis and the owner is Portland Public Schools. Additional permits were issued for prefabricated stairs and handrails and slab strengthening.
  • A $3.15 million alteration permit was issued for renovations at 525 N.E. Oregon St. Work includes reconfiguring the interior, and adding walls, a bike/shower area and lobby. The applicant is Mike Coyle of Faster Permits, the owner is Forum Building LLC of Salem and the contractor is Swinerton Builders Inc.
  • A $3.85 million alteration permit was approved for core and shell work with structural changes at 710 N.E. Holladay St. Work will provide a new storefront, roll-up doors, cladding, a roof with skylights, entry canopies, and entry and exit stairs. The applicant is Dustin White of GBD Architects, the owner is AAT Lloyd District LLC and the contractor is Swinerton Builders Inc.
  • A $729,000 permit was issued for tenant improvements at 5314 N.E. Irving St. Work includes a voluntary seismic upgrade, new kitchen and kitchenette, roof, windows, storefronts and attached entry canopy. The applicant is Mike Coyle of Faster Permits, the owner is Shawn Golden of SEG Squared LLC in Portland and the contractor is Jean-Pierre Veillet of Siteworks Inc.
  • A $12.59 million permit was issued for a four-story, 46,057-square-foot building with 11 residential units at 2871 S.E. Division St. The building also has a ground-floor restaurant space and 20 below-grade parking units. The applicant is Vijayeta Davda of Hacker, the owner is Division 28 LLC of Los Angeles and the contractor is Truebeck Construction Inc. of San Mateo, California.
  • A $7.2 million permit was issued for shoring, excavation and foundation work for a 17-story multifamily building at 1650 N.W. Naito Parkway. The applicant is Pearse O’Moore of TVA Architects, the owner is Fremont Place LP of Portland and the contractor is Michael Carrigg of Andersen Construction Co.
  • A $680,000 permit was issued for concrete slabs for a Fairfield Residential multifamily project, at 465 N.E. Davis St. The applicant is Share Chin of Fairfield Development LP, the owner is Fairfield NE Grand LLC of Sand Diego and the contractor is Fairfield Development LP.
  • A $626,000 permit was issued to install solar panels at Kellogg Middle School, at 3400 S.E. 69th Ave. The applicant is Lara Worcester of A&R Solar SPC, the owner is Portland Public Schools, and the contractor is Larry Kennebeck of Todd Construction Inc. in Tualatin.
  • A $3.1 million permit was issued for new construction of a prefabricated metal storage building at 10890 N. Denver Ave. The applicant is Robin Laughlin of Portland Parks and Recreation, the owner is the city of Portland and Grant Wills of 2KG Contractors Inc. is the contractor.

Building permit intakes for Aug. 10-16, 2020

  • A $1.4 million new construction permit is under review for a three-story, 19-unit multifamily building at 8005 S.E. 13th Ave. The applicant is Dan Williams of Faster Permits. The owner is Nehalem 13 LLC of Portland. The contractor is VWR Development LLC of Portland.
  • A $686,000 new construction permit is under review for a two-story office building at 3818 N. Vancouver Ave. The applicant is Doug Skidmore of Beebe Skidmore Architects LLC, the owner is Double Double LLC and the contractor is Dale Morse of Owen Gabbert LLC.
  • A $2.7 million new construction permit is under review for a new metal recycling building for an existing tenant at 12005 N. Burgard Road. The applicant is McKayla Dear of Mackenzie, the owner is Schnitzer Steel Industries Inc. of Carlsbad, California, and the primary contractor is to bid. A $775,000 permit is also under review for a second building at the same location.

Facility permits issued for Aug. 10-16, 2020

  • A $1.3 million permit was issued for alterations at Pioneer Place, at 700 S.W. Fifth Ave. Work is related to the Gucci storefront, including concourse and street-level tenant improvements, a new interior storefront and new walls to create sales areas. The applicant is Zac Horton of Faster Permits, the owner is Pioneer Place LLC of Chicago, and the contractor is Sachse Construction and Development Co. LLC of Detroit.

Facility permit intakes for Aug. 10-16, 2020

  • A $550,000 alteration permit is under review for tenant improvements for Cash App at 400 S.W. Sixth Ave. on floors nine, 10 and 11. Green spaces will be added and some rooms reconfigured. The applicant is Amalia Mohr with LRS Architects, and the owner is Portland 400 Sixth LLC of Foster City, California.
  • A $650,000 alteration permit is under review for tenant improvements by the landlord at the J.K. Gill Building, at 408 S.W. Fifth Ave. Work is on the seventh floor and includes minor demolition as well as construction of walls to create offices, a break area, a board room, open offices, ceiling, floor and finishes. The applicant is Eric Hoffman of Sum Design Studio + Architecture, the owner is 408 5th Ave Portland Propco LLC, and the contractor is Fortis Construction Inc.
