Building permits issued for Aug. 17-23, 2020

• A $530,000 permit was under inspection for tenant improvements at Columbia Industrial Park, at 6821 N.E. Columbia Blvd. A partial change of occupancy is requested. Work includes new walls to create offices and restrooms and a mezzanine to create open office space. The applicant is Ryan Pickrel of Faster Permits, the owner is 205 Properties LLC of Vancouver, Washington, and the contractor is Union Corner Construction Inc. of Vancouver.

• A $1.38 million permit was issued for composite aluminum and metal panels at Madison High School, at 2735 N.E. 82nd Ave. The applicant is Jacob Gerard of Fortis Construction, which is also the contractor. The owner is Portland Public Schools.

• An $800,000 permit was issued for vibration and seismic work at Legacy Emanuel Medical Center, at 2835 N. Kerby Ave. A $266,000 permit for a glass guardrail was also issued. The applicant and contractor for both permits is Andersen Construction, and the owner is Legacy Emanuel.

• A $462,229 permit was issued for a partial reroof of an existing building at 1720 N.E. 132nd Ave. The applicant and contractor is Brockamp Jaeger of Oregon City and the owner is Resurrection Lutheran Church.

• A $654,936 permit was issued for improvements for an existing tenant at Pioneer Courthouse Square, at 701 S.W. Sixth Ave. Work includes expanding existing tenant space into adjacent space, reconfiguring restrooms, and adding walls to conference room, lobby and ticket areas. The applicant is Ryan Pickrel of Faster Permits, the owner is the city of Portland and the contractor is R&H Construction Co.

• A $500,000 permit was issued for precast panel work at Portland International Airport for the concourse B project. The applicant is Mike Coyle of Faster Permits, the owner is the Port of Portland and the contractor is Hoffman Skanska LLC.

• A $638,978 permit was issued for tenant improvements at 2650 N.E. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. Work includes new partitions, walls, storage racks and shelving. The applicant is Mike Coyle of Faster Permits, the owner is Alameda Equities LLC and the contractor is Greg Simon of Lakeview Construction Inc. of Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin.

• An $839,000 new construction permit was issued for tenant improvements at 1821 N.E. 33rd Ave., formerly a QFC grocery store. Work relates to two new tenant spaces. The applicant is Terri Douglas of NORR Architecture and Engineering of Detroit, Michigan, the owner is MJH Land LLC of Cincinnati, Ohio, and the contractor is Solex Contracting Inc. of Temecula, California.

• A $1.37 million permit was issued for construction of a three-story, 18-unit building with two structures connected by stairs and a balcony at 3450 N.E. 50th Ave. The applicant is Dan Williams of Faster Permits, the owner is Grove Development Inc. and the contractor is Grove Hunt of Portland.

Building permit intakes for Aug. 17-23, 2020

• A $516,500 alteration permit is under review for 1903 N. Weidler St. Stick framing will be used for the roof instead of trusses. Interior walls will be rebuilt. The project involves a new architect and contractor. The applicant is Sergey Zhdanov of Spektrum Construction LLC, the owner is the Association of Unit Owners of Weidler Villa Condominiums and the contractor is Spektrum Electric LLC of Happy Valley.

• A $1.16 million permit is under review for work at a Portland Water Bureau facility on Southwest Jefferson Street. Work includes removal of existing hypochlorite tanks, piping, pumps and valves; installation of new tanks and associated pumps, pipes and valves. Juanita Hess of the Water Bureau is the applicant, the city of Portland is the owner, and the primary contractor is to bid.

• A $1.3 million permit is under review for a three-story, 19-unit apartment building in the 97206 area code of Southeast Portland. An exact address was not given. The applicant is Zac Horton of Faster Permits, the owner is 74 Foster LLC and the contractor is Gene Pavlenko of Anamic Construction Inc.

• A $1 million permit is under review for lot grading and preload filling of existing soils to allow for settlement at Prologis Meadows, at 9475 N. Horseshoe Ave. The applicant is Dale Poppe and the owner is Prologis L.P. of Denver.

• A $1.83 million permit is under review for a new mixed-use industrial building with office space and a maintenance shop at 4000 N.E. Columbia Blvd. The applicant is Ryan Pickrel of Faster Permits, the owner is DFA LLC of Las Vegas and the contractor is Lorentz Bruun Construction Inc.

• A $650,000 permit was issued for landlord build-out on the fourth floor at 408 S.W. Fifth Ave. The applicant is Eric Hoffman of Sum Design Studio + Architecture, the owner is 408 5th Ave Portland Propco LLC and the contractor is Fortis Construction Inc.

• A $750,000 permit is under review for tenant improvements at 1107 N.E. Ninth Ave. Work includes new walls, a break room, entry and laundry rooms. The applicant is Michael Yelton of Banyan Construction Services in Brownsburg, Indiana. The owner is AAT Lloyd District LLC of San Diego.

• A $6.15 million permit is under review for alterations at an Amazon Fulfillment Center, at 15000 N. Lombard St. Work includes new walls, exterior doors, ceiling, flooring, finishes, plumbing and electric. The applicant is Christine Peterson of BL Cos. in Meridian, Connecticut, the owner is the Port of Portland (leased to Rivergate V Associates LLC of Dallas), and the contractor is The Renaissance Cos. Inc. of Scottsdale, Arizona. A separate $663,000 permit is under review for mechanical work at the Amazon project. The contractor for that work is Heinz Mechanical Industries Inc. of Clackamas.

• A $750,000 permit is under review for terminal bag claim work at Portland International Airport. Wall demolition and new walls, break rooms, conference rooms, lounges and more are included. The applicant is Mike Coyle of Faster Permits, the owner is the Port of Portland and Hoffman Skanska LLC is the contractor.

• A $3.3 million permit is under review for New Relic tenant improvements at the U.S. Bancorp Tower, 111 S.W. Fifth Ave. Work on the 21st floor includes wall demolition and new walls to create offices, conference rooms and more. The applicant is Emily Phillips of IA Interior Architects, the owner is Association of Unit Owners of One Eleven Tower Condominiums, and the contractor is Fortis Construction Inc.

• A $1.54 million permit is being considered for site improvements including grading, landscaping, walkway, parking spaces and private driveway curb cuts at 13415 S.E. Foster Road. The applicant is Andrea Wallace of Ink:Built Design and the owner is Habitat for Humanity Portland Metro/East.
