Building permits issued for Aug. 24-30, 2020

  • Two permits totaling $4.4 million were issued for work at Legacy Emanuel, at 2835 N. Kerby Ave. The work involves curtain wall and metal-plate wall panels. The applicant is Rilyn Lewchuk of Andersen Construction, the owner is Legacy Emanuel and the contractor is Andersen.
  • A $950,000 permit was issued for improvements to suit an existing tenant at 336 N.E. 20th Ave. Work includes demolishing walls and building new ones.   • A $2.4 million permit is under review for a concrete foundation for a new apartment building at 1134 N.W. 18th Ave. Nathan Arnold of Faster Permits is the applicant, HMS North 18th St LLC is the owner and Michael Carrigg of Andersen Construction Co. is the contractor.
  • A $945,000 permit is under review for a new three-story, 18-unit apartment building at 7337 S.E. Foster Road. Zac Horton of Faster Permits is the applicant, 73 Foster LLC is the owner and Gene Pavlenko of Anamik Construction Inc. is the contractor.
  • A $702,000 permit is under review for construction of a steel-framed, one-story convenience store in the 97236 zip code of Southeast Portland. No exact address was given. The applicant is Ganman Singh of Wow Petroleum in Grand Blanc, Michigan. The owner is Bridge Meadows. No information about the contractor was provided.
  • A $739,000 permit is under review for a new storage building, including stormwater management, sanitary, water, landscaping and grading at 10620 S.E. Facility permits issued for Aug. 24-30, 2020

  • A $650,000 alteration permit was issued for tenant improvements on the seventh floor at the J.K. Gill Building, at 408 S.W. Fifth Ave. Work includes new walls to create offices, boardroom, open office areas and phone rooms. The applicant is Eric Hoffman of Sum Design Studio + Architecture, the owner is 408 5th Ave Portland PropCo LLC and Fortis Construction is the contractor.
  • A $550,000 permit was issued for Cash App tenant improvements at 400 S.W. Sixth Ave. on floors nine, 10 and 11. The applicant is Amalia Mohr of LRS Architects, and the owner is Portland 400 Sixth LLC of Foster City, California.
  • A $10 million permit was issued for a terminal ticket lobby and security checkpoint at Portland International Airport. Mike Coyle of Faster Permits is the applicant, the Port of Portland is the owner and Hoffman Skanska LLC is the contractor. A $100,000 permit was also issued for mechanical work.

Facility permit intakes for Aug. 24-30, 2020

  • A $2.5 million permit is under review to relocate tenants at Portland International Airport’s Terminal 5 during construction. Work includes food preparation areas and open office areas, ceiling, flooring and finishes. The applicant is Mike Coyle of Faster Permits, the owner is the Port of Portland and the contractor is Interior Exterior Specialist LLC of Scotts Mills, Oregon.
  • A $5.04 million mechanical permit is under review for HVAC work at Kaiser Permanente’s facility at 3600 N. Interstate Ave. Work includes ductwork, grilles, diffusers, filters, air handling units, pumps, exhaust fans, plumbing and electrical. The applicant is Carl Gabrielson of Anderson Dabrowski Architects, and the owner is the Kaiser Foundation Health Plan of the Northwest.
