Building permits issued for Sept. 7-13, 2020

  • A $1.4 million alteration permit was issued for office tenant improvements for the Oregon Historical Society, at 1200 S.W. Park Ave. The project includes a change of use from a reading and map room to an office. Work includes nonstructural partition walls, ceilings, lighting and accessible, unisex restrooms. The applicant is Andrew Smith of Hennebery Eddy Architects, the owner is the historical society, and the contractor is Scott Pater of Reimers & Jolivette Inc.
  • A $3 million alteration permit was issued for work on Concourse B at Portland International Airport. The work involves a bracing plan for occupancy during construction. The applicant is Mike Coyle of Faster Permits, the owner is the Port of Portland, and the contractor is Hoffman Skanska LLC.

Building permit intakes for Sept. 7-13, 2020

  • A $41.4 million permit is being evaluated for the Portland Bureau of Environmental Services’ STEP project at 5001 N. Columbia Blvd. Planned work includes excavation and grading for future site work. The applicant is Julietta Randles of BES, and the owner is the city of Portland. No information about a contractor was given. A separate, $1.75 million permit for demolition of a composter facility at the same site is being reviewed. The applicant and owner are the same as above, and the contractor is Kiewit Infrastructure West Co. of Omaha, Nebraska.
  • A $1.1 million new construction permit is being reviewed for a four-story, 15-unit apartment building at 1427 N. Bryant St. Ryan Pickrel of Faster Permits is the applicant, Schwartz Family Trust of Vancouver is the owner and Kardia Construction LLC of Sandy is the contractor.

Facility permits issued for Sept. 7-13, 2020

  • An $83.85 million new construction permit was issued for a 25-story mixed-use building at 1140 S.W. Washington St. The project, which also includes four below-grade floors of parking, is known as Eleven West. The building will have ground-floor retail space, seven floors of offices, an amenity floor with an exterior terrace and swimming pool and 214 rental apartments. The applicant is Robert Snyder of ZGF Architects, the owner is Lot-306 LLC and the contractor is Brian Sabom of Turner Construction.

Facility permit intakes for Sept. 7-13, 2020

  • A $750,000 permit is under review for tenant improvements at 400 S.W. Sixth Ave., for Cash App. The work on floors nine, 10 and 11 involves glass partitions and glazing. The applicant is Jenny Bergren of Fortis Construction and the owner is Portland 400 Sixth LLC of Foster City, California.
  • A $497,000 permit is under review for tenant improvements, including new walls and conference rooms, at 1120 S.W. Third Ave., Unit 1. The applicant is Stephanie Ellis of Multnomah County; the county is also the owner. Centennial Contractors Enterprises Inc. of Reston, Virginia, is the contractor.
