The Glass Lab property has a long and diverse history, serving first as the Morehouse Glass factory and warehouse, a furniture store and later a distillery. The two-story, 46,000-square-foot building now has a new life as a creative, technology hub.

The second floor of the building offers a host of flexible office suites ranging in size from 2,000 square feet to 5,400 square feet. Glass conference rooms and shared kitchen space promote a culture of transparency and collaboration often sought by creatives. The first floor provides space for two retail operations.

Original building elements such as the glulam beams and concrete floors were restored and revealed in order to pay homage to the past while extensive window lines, large glass conference rooms and open floor plans create a collaborative workspace for the future.

Lorentz Bruun Construction set up a 鈥渕ini fabrication shop鈥� on site to address issues around the weight of the materials being used. This allowed the team to construct many of the pieces in place. The decision was made to use polycarbonate panels to divide open spaces as opposed to drywall so that light will still be able to permeate those areas without sacrificing privacy.
