DCBS’ Cox named administrator of Building Codes Division

GOVERNMENT
The Department of Consumer and Business Services (DCBS) has appointed Alana Cox as the administrator for the Building Codes Division. She has served as the interim administrator for the Building Codes Division since September 2020. Cox joined the division in 2016, first as the senior policy advisor, then as the manager of Policy and Technical Services. This included work with the division鈥檚 seven advisory boards on code adoption and other rulemaking initiatives, as well as legislative tracking and implementation of bills. Cox has a bachelor鈥檚 degree from George Washington University and a Juris Doctor from Willamette University College of Law. She is a licensed attorney in Oregon.
