The Urban Land Institute has named Rodolfo Rodr铆guez, manager of public health programs and shelter operations for Washington County鈥檚 Department of Housing Services, winner of the inaugural Apgar Thought Leader Award. The award, supported by ULI trustee Mahlon 鈥淪andy鈥� Apgar, presents winners an opportunity to pursue research and writing with the goal of publication in聽Urban Land聽magazine. Rodr铆guez, a current ULI member, will receive a $1,500 honorarium. He will write a thoroughly researched and documented article for the audience of聽Urban Land. Rodr铆guez was selected from 39 entries; his winning proposal focuses on proven anti-displacement strategies in Latinx neighborhood redevelopment initiatives in the U.S.
